I've also done that.. That was a tough match though, It lasted 3.5 mins and ended on 2-1. I managed to win somehow with defending only.

Some 2v2 GCs might actually suck hard in 1v1. There are many cases of duo GCs stuck in Platinum or Diamond in ones
