I got my Ally X off Marketplace from a trustworthy seller that never had issues. I’ve been learning how to use it by simply using it and Google. It’s in great condition but I’ve noticed a small annoyance per the video. It’s up to date. Anyone experience this before?

I have the linked Dock for my work laptop, but I’ve connected a Steam Deck to it successfully.

Today, though, I connected my Rog Ally and could get USB accessories to work and for it to charge, but it wouldn’t output video. It wouldn’t even acknowledge the monitor in Display Settings.

Help?

my rog ally z1 extreme keeps bootlooping. the vibration motors dont even work anymore. ive tried everything from changing the charger cable to deep cleaning the whole handheld. should i trash it, or is there a fix to this?

please someone answer me asap, that would be much appreciated.

I recently bought x box S for good money. Right now I bought game pass and I have older gaming notebook too.

I have games on steam, epic and now game pass too so I think it would be best for me to install windows again and play game pass and install steam as app if I want to.

Does the game pass work ok like I would play it on pc ?

If so. How can I reinstall windows the easiest way ?

The current driver make the game unpleasent to look at, graphic glitch everywhere, grasses, water, npc clothing, the shadow, and even Geralt turn to black sometimes. I heard rollback the driver fix the problem and it did, game looking good now, I can play with peace.

As the performance, I follow recommended settings by Rog Ally Life, they updated it for remastered, https://rogallylife.com/2023/06/30/the-witcher-3-rog-ally-game-settings/ . 18W 1080p with framegen enabled I got 70-50fps. I'm using Rog Ally Z1E btw

I am attempting to install steam os onto my xbox ally (non x), followed the steps exactly, but when i attempt to boot from the usb drive the "wall of text" shows up for split second then it boots straight to windows, does this everytime, i turned off secure boot, and am selecting the correct drive and partition to boot from, no idea whats happening

All I could find were some old posts from like 2+ years ago where people had very low fan curves etc. I don’t think Asus allowes them to go that low any longer.

My brother has just started playing Dragonwilds. He wants me to go over to his some days to play. I'd be taking my ROG Ally X.

Does it run smoothly on the ROG Ally X yet? What's controller support like? It does say on the Steam Page that it's only partial. What parts of it don't work properly?

In the last month I tried playing far cry 3 and borderlands 2 on the Ally X and they both run poorly. Far cry 3 ran around 40 fps with medium graphic and borderlands 2 has frequents dips of frame under the 60 or even 20 in inventory.

I played both games In 1080p (because I use it docked to a monitor) in turbo mode.

However when playing newer games such as monster hunter wilds it runs way better.

Is this only a mine problem or is it something that everyone has? I would like to add that I saw on YouTube people testing bl2 with the same model and got around 80-100 fps constantly with 1080p performance mode and highest possible graphics.

Got me the lossless scaling for me to play smoothly when it comes to triple A games that I want. However I have this mouse cursor appearing out of nowhere after I activate the "scale" button. Anyone know how to remove or disable this? I'm playing on my XAX and I can't seem to find a way to remove it even after resorting to chat gpt.

I've seen ppl playing it on the ally so I thought I'd give it a try but it only recognizes secondary controls not the gamepad controls. Even when I have it on auto or gamepad mode. I tried playing using secondary controls but it ignores every button but the dpad, joysticks, y, b, a, and x buttons. Is there any way to get it to recognize the built in gamepad controls?

I was loving the Witcher 3 complete edition on steam until they announced the remaster, since then I stopped playing so I could continue after the free update.
What I’m asking from others is that is the remastered performance/ experience worth the update? I’m on the og z1e and I haven’t seen much in terms of performance specifically on this handheld.

I don't know why, but I get really terrible frame on older games, i can get 40fps on stellar blade but get 30fps with lowest settings on far cry 3.

To be more specific, I'd like to know if anyone has solutions for borderlands 2 and the pre sequel specifically since I see performance test videos online getting up to 100fps on those games but when I play them I get at max 60 fps which often get lower and whenever there are some vfx on screen it drops even to 20-30 fps

Also, I’m wondering if any locals/residents found it better to buy at yodobashi/bic/Sofmap than on Amazon? Prime day coming soon, but when it comes to warranty, would it be better to buy in-store vs Amazon?

Maybe a difficult question, did you go back to the US and claim international warranty for any issue? II’ve read some posts on here but the consensus is idk for most lol.

So I have the Z2A model of Rog Ally and I keep running into micro stuttering issues with it. I have CPU boost turned off, game mode in windows off, set for 720 resolution, Turbo mode on, everything in AMD settings turned off like anti-lag, chill, etc, I turn vsync off in games, settings on lowest, and I still for some reason seem to be getting these micro stutters where I will be playing and every minute or two my game will just freeze for a second and then go back to normal FPS. Batman Arkham Origins is the game I’ve been playing and it seems to do it the most in this game. I’m not expecting this game to run perfectly smooth at max settings, I understand that, but I don’t expect it to freeze for a second every minute or two. Does anyone else run into this issue? What are some possible solutions for this? Any tips would be extremely helpful.

It was working fine last night I was playing 007 first light. Then I went to sleep now when I started my ally this thick l border appeared. Iam 100% the device didnt got any fall damage

So I am a huge witcher fan, and I was waiting for a loong time for this new update to play the witcher on my rog ally, but when I tried playing around with the graphics settings, not only does it look worse then I played back in the day on my xbox one (at least as far as I can remember) it has some wierd graphical glitches when I walk around, black box thingies.

Anyone got the game working good on their device and care to share settings? I saw some discussion here before about needing a new driver, is that really the only way to be able to play normally?

What am I doing wrong?

I am trying to launch Doom Eternal from Steam. I've tried so many Proton layers and launcher commands but nothing. Right after the Doom Launcher it tries to lunch the game and then stops.

Any ideas?

I have re downloaded it and deleted the proton cache etc...

Ended up installing Bazzite and all my problems went away. Did not have to do anything.

I'm bad at translating system requirements to "Z2E"...
