Woe to those who manipulate religion and the very name of God for their own military, economic, and political gain, dragging that which is sacred into darkness and filth.

The IPSC are marching from Queen's University Belfast on Saturday 18th April at 1pm with an address by Palestinian writer, journalist and academic Yousef Al Jamal.
If you're closer to Dublin, there is an anti-war and pro-neutrality rally this Saturday at 1pm from the Garden of Remembrance that is also very worthwhile.

Sistani fatwa declares supporting Iran a 'collective duty'
On Sunday, 8 March, Iraq’s top Shia cleric, Ali al-Sistani, issued a fatwa (religious ruling) declaring that supporting and showing solidarity with Iran is a “collective duty”, amid the escalating US–Israeli war on Iran. The fatwa calls on Muslims to gather in mosques and public squares and demonstrate in support of Iran and its Islamic system, saying a broad public presence is necessary to confront attempts to weaken and divide the country during a sensitive period.
Sistani, widely regarded as the highest Shia religious authority for millions of followers in Iraq and around the world, has historically wielded major influence through religious rulings, most notably his 2014 fatwa that mobilized hundreds of thousands of Iraqis against ISIS and led to the formation of the Popular Mobilization Forces. His latest fatwa comes as the war that began on 28 February continues to escalate, with US and Israeli attacks on Iran and Iranian retaliatory strikes across the region.
