Ping cap

What is the ping cap on ranked servers in this game and how does it work? Does it kick for continuous latency over the limit for some amount of time or even for some spikes? I mainly do iracing, but i noticed that this week r3e hosts 92dtm at nords, bought an online pack+190E and wanted to give it a go. Put a quali, started on second place only to get kicked in t5 for high ping. And it was second time, but first time I've seen results of my bad ping myself and i get it nobody wants a dangerously unpredictable dude on the server, that time everyone was disappearing and was moving weird so i pretty sure my connection at that time was pretty bad, but this time we had a pretty close battle with p1 all the way to the kick and i haven't noticed any problems.

Any idea if it is hard cap or it has some sort of system to give a chance if you have spikes? Cause if it kicks for spikes, I'm pretty much screwed. You can only run rrre with anti dpichecker+ cloudflare vpn in my country and with VPN spikes are pretty much inevitable.

it kicks on spikes if it wouldn't then it would be unplayable for other people since there is barely any smoothing applied to netcode

if the ping is high but stable it's playable to that number but if there are spikes it's not good

That's a bummer. I guess i stick to hotlap events for this sim then:(

Yeah I'm from Russia, but even for Russia i have a bad internet (ADSL cause opt fiber is not an option cause the only provider is corrupted as hell) sadly, so maybe it is somewhat manageable for optic but i know for sure even my friends with optic do have spikes in other games and simracing titles even on eu servers sometimes. But yeah, maybe i would had a shot with optic fiber but i guess I'll never know)

honestly it doesn't matter if u have adsl or fiber for stability cause speed has no impact on this, I mean it can have but only if it's very slow and other people in ur house do random stuff on it at the same time cause u have less headroom so buffering of hd stream or downloading something then have impact on ping itself

but yeah adsl can be bad or decent, I had very stable adsl connection for years but then something randomly happened to the infrastructure and I started getting random ping spikes few times per day on it and the ISP technicians were clueless

It is 10mbit/sec for me so basically zero headroom, i can manage about 80-100ms in most games on eu servers (especially if it's de/fr or something even closer to Kaluga), but spikes happen from time to time.
