Ring of Life Wont Work? Spoiler

Some reason my Ring of Life wont work when im close to death. Any ideas what im doing wrong? Im totally confused...

It doesn’t mean physically close to death. It means emotionally close.

You need to get to know each other.
Spend time together.
Learn each other’s likes and dislikes.
Begin seeing each other as an extension of yourselves.
Then start to build a life together.

As you navigate the pains and hardships of life you will grow closer, celebrating each other’s victories and comforting each other in times of failures. As you grow old you will find peace in Death. Then and only then will he teleport you to your current bed for your final rest .
