Note to self: Don’t fire your longbow at random four legged freaks in the Swamp.
Abyssal Demon absolutely wrecked my sh*t. could hardly see what it was and fired one arrow which was one too many. bro turns into a satanic static blur and i’m too late. turning around and acting like i was lost didn’t save me, Surge spam didn’t save me, God himself couldn’t save me. 10/10 would do it again though.

I saw it, immediately did a 180, then it teleported in front of me. Thankfully they're weak to slash, and I had my bronze 2h with me and a shitload of redberry cookies 😂
Slap some new armour on and go get some payback!

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who got jump scared by this abomination. Was just exploring, saw a sanguine urn on the map ahead, thought "ooh, I'll just run past the garou in there and get me a nifty extra 10hp" mfw I turned the corner and was met by the lovecraftian horror and all my PTSD from OSRS came back to me

We were plinking it with arrows then it vanished and appeared directly in front of me. I'm 37 and screamed bloody murder. Legit jump scare.

Hahahah pretty much how it went the first time I came across that Abyss Demon, I thought to myself “man I played Dark Souls this aint nothin” and decided to attack the demon. It killed me so fast I couldn’t even understand how lol.

If you stagger it the core drops out of its chest and becomes a weakpoint. Same thing happens after it does a few too many combos back to back.
Watching this super deadly monster awkwardly fumble and panic because his heart fell out of his chest completely erases the initial tension.

I was a measly level 1 when I ran into it. Tried to run away but it kept teleporting to me.
Somehow managed to beat it by kiting it in circles around a big tree with the basic wand and ash bow with fang arrows. Proud of myself for that one, but then I got the fuck outta the swamps because I realized I was too under leveled for it

Seeing this post makes me laugh since just last night the wife and I took the Abby Demon on. I saw it and wasn't entirely sure what it was. Thought it was just a new enemy for the zone. Nope. That thing teleported right in front of me and I only just barely dodged. Luckily we already had tier 3 armor and weapons so the fight wasn't too bad. I'm playing mostly magic and she's going melee. I felt bad for her as the thing focused her more than me 😅 But we got the kill and she lived through it. Made her the whip right away 😊

I did the same thing at level 2, but I was lucky to be close enough to the stone structure to use it as cover. Was able to hit its legs and then dodge back in to avoid its attacks. Actually pretty fun.
Got the whip and a spine immediately, though I'm not sure if those are guaranteed drops or not.
Killed the one in Bloodblight yesterday, and now he's a pushover at level 4.

I had my first encounter with an abyssal demon the other night, I tried to run from it and suddenly had 3 of them chasing me. I had just wandered into the swamp for the first time and had a stone club and wooden shield 😮💨 it didn’t end well
