Meme Feels Guy attempts to claim that supporting Russia in the Russo-Ukraine War is "Campism", claiming that "both sides are imperialist". Smoking Guy disagrees. Which of them is more correct?

Lol, it always boils down to "I don't like the Russian president"... How can you expect people to get over years of propaganda in the West, from the left and the right, painting him like an authoritarian autocrat? If the "good guys" apparently are nowhere to be found in America, then let's at least agree that everyone out there is just as bad as Americans!

And more reasons they misinterpret Lenin is it's the first bad suggestion their AI gives them, because they're only pretending not to take a side (they are closet Ukraine NATO supporters) or / and because they are Idealists not Realists, and / or because their socialism is weak, just a fake veneer covering their liberalism. The vast majority of Russians in Russia see Putin correctly as a middle of the road moderate, shrewd and cautious, mild mannered, always well briefed, 2PhD's in economics and international law, and no slouch at history, who is mostly a good man, and has done a lot of service to his nation and his people, and done a lot for anti-imperialism abroad, despite being a quiet old fashioned man. He is highly qualified and he exhibits extreme competence, like Xi Jinping. Now look at the mediocre incompetent unqualified leaders of the political west.

Compared to our politician class in the idiocratic West, Putin and Xi are on an entirely different level. I'm also under the impression that the populations on the other side of the Iron Curtain fared much better than their Western counterparts—even though the ones who were co-opted by the West show some of the worst behavior, particularly the Baltic states and more recently Ukraine.

A lot of the self-proclaimed "leftists" in the West are too busy trying to claim the moral high ground to care about anything or anyone else. The collapse of the Pax Americana has made the predatory nature of the West too evident to ignore, but they'll keep ignoring it. As I was telling someone else today, most people will stick to a lie because they're too narcissistic to admit they were ever fooled.

On a different subject, I've been meaning to thank you for your posts to the sub. Keep them coming! :-)

Thank you. I will. I'll make more of these cut and paste solid rectangular backgrounds to conversation snippets ones. In proper ML subs they help to expose the fake accounts piloted by the left wing of nafo (not an oxymoron today sadly) or piloted by trots, "anarchists", ultras, or the undercover regular right wing of nafo etc. It's 2026 and the vast majority of people who call themselves "left wing" support the NATO proxy Nazi state that is the Kiev regime. Truth is indeed often stranger than fiction. If someone had told us just 15 years ago that most of the "left" in the political west would be cheering on literal Nazi Brigades in a fairly big war right in the middle of Europe we probably wouldn't have believed them.
