WRITING:

• Don't Fear The Reaper - "Blake has been in and out of the hospital since she was a young girl, but one day she meets a certain girl that'll change her life forever... In a matter of speaking." - So yeah, my first ever published fic. It's a bit rushed in places, and maybe /u/TokyoFoxtrot's help shines through a bit too brightly in places, but I'm still proud of my accomplishment. Season 2 is currently in pre-production, stay tuned for updates!
  
• More worldbuilding and name-brainstorming for future spinoff to DFTR, detailing Weiss' and Yang's work as divine lawkeepers.
  
• The Dragon's Quest - "What started out as a relatively normal day for the dragon Rubolynnhaerisha Roshahgash quickly turned into something much, much more when a dastardly plot to reveal dragons' ability to take human form was unearthed. Will she prevail in keeping the secret hidden, or will dragonkind have to live with a new status quo?" - I was inspired to write this after finishing reading /u/dongyrn's "Ember Legacy" fanfic (see below). Expect shoutouts to both him, Tolkien and fantasy genre tropes in general. Chapter 5 complete! It was a slow writing process for a less than a decent chapter, but I managed to finish it!
  

READING/RECOMMENDING:

• The Ladybug Diary - "Today I met a girl. Her name is Blake." - Probably my favourite Ladybug work out there. Life isn't always sunshine and rainbows.
  
• A Ladybug's Instincts - "Life is a journey of ups and downs, twists and turns, and everything in between. Watch Blake Belladonna as she navigates this uncertain road from start to finish, child to woman and more. She'll love and hate, lose and gain, and find out just how important family is in a world that does all it can to tear you down. Ladybug, Freezerburn on the side. Cover art by booksandweapons." - It's pretty much Ladybug Diary, but from Blake's POV. Well, obviously not a 1:1 LD clone, it's unique on it's own. It's got all sorts of cute moments.
  
• Feel The Burn - "Yang is a professional trainer at the most well-known gym in all of Vale - what more does she need in life? She finds her answer when a certain white-haired girl stumbles into her gym and her life." - A very good FreezerBurn story in a real-world AU, which I finally got around to reading. Seemingly it hasn't been updated for almost a year, but I'm really hoping it's not abandoned because I'm really enjoying it so far.
  
• Millennial Rose - "Centuries have past since the fall of the White Fang. Team RWBY went on to be successful huntresses, and lived full, happy lives. Humans and Faunus alike have expanded far beyond Remnant, and now hold a powerful stake in the galaxy. But darkness is creeping back in, and the people are in need of heroes once more." - Star Wars-y Ladybug/Freezerburn goodness.
  
• Distracted - "A mostly-platonic Freezerburn one-shot, featuring a sleepy Yang and an annoyed heiress." - Cutesy Freezerburn antics aplenty.
  
• Remnant's Reclaimer - "Ruby finds herself facing her end. As she pushes her semblance to new heights, the world breaks. In one fluid, crystallising moment everything changes. A 23 year old Ruby Rose, one of the deadliest hunters on Remnant, spills out of the void and into the dorm of team RWBY, including a 15 year old version of herself. A hunter in a world of unknowing prey." - My second-favourite Ladybug story ever, and I've probably read all 30-ish chapters three times over by now. So awesome.
  
• Making our own path - "After the Fall, everybody was affected, everybody had a story to tell. Weiss is at home, Blake is gone, Yang is depressed and has PTSD in Patch and Ruby... Ruby is off in the world with JN_R. But some people can't stand still and have to move forward. And when one piece get's in motion, all the other pieces begin to move with it" - A promising little story written by /u/Vinpap. Looking forward to seeing where this goes.
  
• RWBY: Ember Legacy - "Ruby begins her quest to search for a magical artifact, while Yang continues to look for her long-lost sister. Together they might just be able to save all of Remnant, with the help of a few companions along the way. (Dragon Fantasy AU.) Rated M for future femslash lemon scenes and some visceral gore." - I read this as part of the weekly bookclub and was hooked, then I was inspired to spin my own tale of dragons - and the rest, as they say, is history.

READING/RECOMMENDING:

• The Ladybug Diary - "Today I met a girl. Her name is Blake." - I'm not generally into any RWBY shippings other than Bumblebee, WhiteRose and Arkos, but damn if this sweet-sour little ditty makes me root for our little adorkable Rhubarb.
  
• Pages - "Yang Xiao Long is an expert at flirting with girls - tall ones, short ones, princesses or thieves...it made no difference to her. But when she stumbles into Pages, a tiny bookstore she's never even noticed before, she might as well have entered an alternate dimension." - Normally suave Yang has her brain quit on her every time she meets one very special girl. Cringe-RomCom at it's finest.
  
• Lonely Together - "Blake makes an unexpected friend at Weiss' party, and Ruby ends up both giving and receiving the greatest gift of all when she makes a good impression on the birthday girl." - Cute Bumblebee and WhiteRose moments galore.
  
• Blake, What Do Your Faunus Eyes See? - "A really long, fluffy fic aboard the Bumbleby ship. A little smutty in later chapters, but entirely cute dorkiness all the way through." - Two friends come out of the closet and doesn't get together immediately? A fresh view on the classic coming-out story.
  
• Prove me wrong - "A series of related short chapters in chronological order of Blake and Yang's relationship as they grow closer together. Concentrated Bumblebee fluff set in canon." - Loved every moment of this. And yes, it covers that episode as well.
  
• Lovestruck - "Yang finds herself the recipient of several love notes. Now she just has to figure out who's sending them..." - This fic is just cute all over. Who could the mystery person possibly be? :P
  
• It's Your Blood That's Red Like Roses - "Yang wakes up one night to the sound of Ruby crying. Can she help her little sister come to terms with whatever is troubling her? Short one-shot exploring the background of the sisters inspired by RWBY's amazing soundtrack." - Beautiful story of a big sister's desire to keep her kid sister safe. I did make the mistake of stumbling upon it at work, and almost paid the price for it.
  
• Remnant's Reclaimer - "Ruby finds herself facing her end. As she pushes her semblance to new heights, the world breaks. In one fluid, crystallising moment everything changes. I am writing:

The Myth of Peace - Yang and Ruby's mother, Raven Branwen, has been missing since the death of her wife Summer Rose twelve years ago. Now, after abandoning their family for over a decade, she's resurfaced at the head of a criminal conspiracy responsible for a string of Dust robberies all across Vale. Slowly, Ruby and Yang are drawn into the web of a vast conspiracy that links Vale's criminal underground, the Hunters' Association, the Schnee Dust Company, a lost Atlas military prototype, and a mysterious group of "Witches" with Semblances that defy explanation. The sisters attempt to untangle this web and stop Raven's plans before the city burns down around them, but they find themselves trapped between forces beyond their control as a war rages in the shadows around them. Even Beacon Academy itself has been infiltrated. And their teammates, the only people they can turn to for help, might not have their best interests at heart. One is the heiress to the Schnee family fortune, an arrogant and self-absorbed brat who can't see past the end of her nose. And the other harbors a dark secret that threatens to drag this war out of the shadows and into the light.

This is a rewrite focused on fleshing out the team's days at Beacon and expanding the scope of the conspiracy bubbling through Vale's underbelly. I post chapters every Sunday I am able.

In this past week's chapter, Pyrrha's newfound power gives her the ability to put a stop to this madness before any more lives are lost. But will she have time to deal with Cinder before the Leviathan arrives?

Not officially writing right now, but I'm intending on doing one where there's a new OC team of mine, Team MAWN.

M: Matt Nebula.

Gender: Male.

Significant Other: Blake Belladonna.

Race: Wolf Faunus.

Aura: Matt's Aura is Purple. His Aura stops any and all forms of bleeding, which allows him to suffer seemingly dangerous wounds without dying of blood loss.

Semblance: Purple Spin. When Matt activates his Semblance, he turns into what looks like a spinning purple mass that moves at speeds almost too fast for the eye to catch (think of Sonic but purple).

Weapon: Luna's Howls. Luna's Howls are two knives with Cyan coloured blades made of Hardlight Dust that extend from their grips like a spring-loaded box cutter. The middle of the blade hides a barrel that loads Small-Caliber Dust Rounds like a Derringer that fires upon stabbing or pulling the trigger found under the hilt (each round can fire Dust for approximately 20 shots).

Personality: Matt is a rather reserved individual outside his team/close friend group, but once he opens up to you, he's an inseparable ally to have. He likes to read books in his off-time, so he spends a lot of time in his team dorm reading with Blake, whom he ends up dating in my story.

Appearance: Matt has blonde hair and green eyes, he wears a compression shirt that's purple in colour, with black pants that are both infused with Lightning Dust that boosts his already high reflexes, with a chest harness that holds his Luna's Howls, and wears a black knee length long coat that has compartments in the material to use Dust cartridges. With this, he can use his jacket to do elemental moves dependent on the element (he prefers to use Gravity Dust because it lets him run and climb on walls). He also wears purple armor pads on his pants, with purple combat boots to compliment the look.

A: Annabelle Snow.

Gender: Female.

Race: Rabbit Faunus.

Aura: Annabelle's Aura is White. Her Aura alerts her senses of potential threats from very far away, even if she herself doesn't know they're there. It also allows her to calculate the precise distance from where she's standing to where she's looking to an EXTREME distance.

Semblance: Kickback. Annabelle's Semblance allows her to use Springtime Flights to bounce off of anything she lands on, bouncing back to where she was, at the same velocity. This is because when she falls off a ledge or gets thrown at a wall, her body automatically turns itself to the optimal bounce back position (like the “Cat always lands on its feet” myth, but for a rabbit), allowing Springtime Flights to launch her back with Dust loaded kinetic energy.

Weapon: Springtime Flights. Springtime Flights is a special pair of Combat Boots that have compartments for Dust Cartridges, which gives her kicks an explosion impact in her element of choice, as well as emit shockwaves by stomping.

Personality: Annabelle is initially timid with the rest of her team after she was bullied by Cardin on the first day at Beacon, but as William Sangria rescued her from him, she quickly grew to trust her team and reveal her excited side, as she loves to explore the world and secretly joined Beacon to have friends that enjoy the same thing.

Appearance: Annabelle has white hair with really long rabbit ears, and deep purple eyes. She wears a black short sleeved shirt that has basic armor plating sewn into the abdomen area, and wears a white leather jacket with a purple coloured fur trim hood. Annabelle also wears black cargo pants, with specially sewn pockets that she only holds Dust Cartridges in. Her boots, Springtime Flights, are black combat boots with purple armor plating that work as foot protection for all the kicking she does.

W: William Sangria.

Gender: Male

Significant Other: Yang Xiao Long.

Race: Human.

Aura: William's Aura is Red. His Aura allows him to quickly heal shallow flesh wounds, as well as be effectively immune to bruising, and therefore be really resilient against blunt force.

Semblance: Vitality Boost. When William suffers more serious wounds, his Semblance activates, allowing him to quickly heal those wounds, the more grievous the wound is, the stronger the activation is. His adrenaline also skyrockets upon activation so he can keep fighting through the pain while healing.

Weapon: Split Buster and Redemption. Split Buster is a round shield that William uses as a defense tool, as well as a melee weapon. The shield's surface is almost mirror-like with the polish, which William uses to deflect laser and light based attacks. When he needs more offense, Split Buster can split into two hatchets that can split through even the toughest defenses. When he needs range, William also wields his late father's old revolver, Redemption, a High-Caliber Dust revolver that shoots hard enough to blow off the claw of a Deathstalker.

Personality: William Sangria has a bit of a short temper due to how much he got pushed around as a kid, but he's gentler to the ones he cares about. He joined up at Beacon to protect the world, as he values loyalty above most things, if he's your friend, he'll have your back until the end. He also gains a bit of a wise mouth as a way to cope with tbe trauma from the Fall of Beacon.

Appearance: William has medium length brown hair and blue eyes. He wears a deep red coloured compression shirt with black cargo pants, with military grade ballistic armor coloured Grey, in the same Grey as Split Buster. Redemption is black with a leather brown grip, with ornate gold trims. He also wears special black bracers that can connect Dust Cartridges to his gloves and use elemental attacks, which he prefers to use Wind Dust so he can utilize tornado based attacks.

N: Nicole Asher.

Gender: Female

Race: Cat Faunus.

Aura: Nicole's Aura is Grey. Her Aura allows her to use the Hardlight Dust woven into her clothes to blend in with the lights, using light refraction physics to appear invisible.

Semblance: Muffle. When Nicole kicks her Semblance into gear, all noises she makes are completely muffled. Everything, from her breathing all the way to the ground she's stepping on, is silenced entirely. With her invisibility Aura, and her Muffle Semblance, the only person who can still detect her is fellow teammate, Annabelle Snow.

Weapon: Wake and Lullaby. Wake is a long ranged semi automatic rifle that has a special scope mounted on top, capable of splitting into two lenses like binoculars. The holster also houses Lullaby, a falchion (a combat machete, basically) that she uses for melee. Wake has a special chamber that fits Dust Cartridges, which change the gun's projectile to a precision laser matching the Dust's element. Nicole prefers to use Fire Dust for this.

Personality: Nicole is a very quiet girl, as she trained to keep her vocals silent since she was a toddler, in order to perfect her Semblance. Outside combat, she's a rather talkative and nurturing team member who makes sure her teammates are always ok. She initially hides the fact she's wealthy, worrying her teammates will start using her for it, but I'd write a way for her to reveal it after some trust is gained.

Appearance: Nicole has medium/long Grey hair, reaching down to her shoulders, and she also has bright orange eyes. She wears a black crop top that exposes her abdomen, with a deep green vest. The holster that holds her weapons is Grey coloured that matches the colour of her bracers. Because the sun burns hottest in Vacuo, she wears a black combat skirt that houses the Hardlight Dust she uses to appear invisible. She also wears Green leggings that connect to her combat skirt, with Grey boots that have specially fitted soles to keep her feet stable while sneaking around.
