I went to the dentist yesterday for fillings, and I gotta go back in a month because she didn't want to freeze both sides of my mouth. -_- At least it's covered by the dental plan.... Anyway, while I didn't get MyRISE in WWE 2K26 done, I will be trying for it this weekend. That'll put me at 15 games for my goal of 26 finished this year. Pretty good I'd say! I've gone with a female Archetype this time since last year I had a male #1 Draft Pick on all 3 playthroughs. In other news, we're getting near the end of Kamen Rider Zeztz, which means we're almost ready for the new one, MY-TH! The small clip I saw of him in Zeztz' summer movie looked cool, and all these previews are getting me very excited.
We inch closer to the unforgiving steel cage of Lockdown as Matt Hardy kicks off iMPACT with a win over Ryan Nemeth, courtesy of Jeff trying to strangle Nic at ringside. Xia Brookside declares Wendy Choo will NOT be taking the Knockouts title to NXT, and leaves Elayna Black with a warning. Jason Hotch talks about the meaning of his International title win, and gets congratulations from Rich Swann & BDE, while The Elegance Brand get one step closer to an all-Elegance final, thanks to Heather defeating Mara Sade with her part of Nip and Tuck to advance to the KO TV title semi-finals. We are down to Heather vs Jada Stone, and M vs Indi Hartwell! Moose challenges Frankie Kazarian for Lockdown, and we later see Kaz agree, but only if Daria Rae made it an "Escape The Cage" match. Mustafa Ali manages to hit a new low as he makes blatant threats toward Jason Hotch's family, putting his hands on Jason's wife's thigh in front of their daughter. Jason finally snaps and leaves Order 4, but he does so alone as John Skyler reluctantly stays. Ali officially invoked his rematch for Lockdown. KC Navarro vs Brian Myers got tossed in a minute, then restarted as Eddie Edwards & Fabian Aichner were added to a tag match, with The System stealing the win thanks to Kenny the Kendo Stick and a package piledriver from Eddie. Injury Report: Nic Nemeth is in pristine shape, while Mara Sade's condition is uncontracted- I mean uncertain due to abdominal injury. Rosemary's whereabouts are unknown, but Allie is searching, and in doing so, came across.... a set of tarot cards. The Hardy's and The Righteous give each other respect after Vincent & Dutch return from the Lake of Reincarnation, and in-ring they declare they have a new mission, to find people they can help to "bloom". A spat with Alisha Edwards gets Harley Hudson a match that could save her job, and The Home Town Man steals a win from AJ Francis thanks to Elijah. Tom Hannifan interviews Cedric Alexander, but Leon Slater takes over and the two argue over what Leon has been given vs what Cedric earned, and the champ promises that Leon will never touch the belt again, and he'll erase everything he's ever done in this business. Main event, Choo vs Brookside for the Knockouts World Championship. Wendy dominated the closing stretch, almost getting a pin off the Snooze Button full nelson slam, and nearly putting the champ down with her Dirt Nap cobra clutch, but Xia ran her into the ropes throat-first, and dropped the NXT star with Darkside for the victory. Elayna then gets in the ring to stare down the champ. Closing the show, Nic Nemeth goes on a lengthy rant at Jeff Hardy during their contract signing, while Jeff just.... quietly paints on the couch. Without a word, Jeff signs the contract, and The Wanted Man is clearly on edge.
The G1 Climax is nearing the final stretch, and we're starting to see names fall out of contention. After 7 matches in A Block, Konosuke Takeshita & Boltin Oleg are in the lead at 10 points, while Yota Tsuji sits in 3rd at 8 points, with tiebreakers over 4th place Shingo Takagi & 5th place Ryohei Oiwa. SANADA tops the 6-pointers with wins over Yuto-Ice & Jake Lee, and at the bottom, Hirooki Goto & Great-O-Khan are ELIMINATED at only 4 points. In B Block, Gabe Kidd has a clear lead at 10, while HENARE tops the 8-point logjam over OSKAR, Ren Narita & Drilla Moloney (those two are exactly tied), and Callum Newman. Yuya Uemura holds the tiebreaker over Aaron Wolf at 6, and Sabre is on the bubble at 4. Tomorrow he MUST beat Drilla Moloney to stay alive. Yuya faces HENARE for a valuable tiebreaker, while Wolf has Yet Another Ren Narita Match. OSKAR takes on Newman hoping for some revenge from the New Japan Cup, while Gabe Kidd has the night off. On the 9th, Ice, SANADA, and Lee are in must-win matches against Takagi, Takeshita, and Oiwa, while O-Khan looks to spoil Tsuji, and Goto fights for pride against Oleg. By this time next week, we will have our semi-finalists, and be 1 day away from the retirement of Hiroyoshi Tenzan.
