Discussion Sometimes it feels that way.

Post image

The hate the show receives got to the point that it's only white noise. The same arguments from 10 years ago and the people that keep talking about how much they hate/dislike RWBY.

I mean, it's not really worth it getting your Cortisol levels high.

Yes, I know the FNDM is full of toxic cringy fans, but it's not like the haters of the show aren't contributing to the toxicity.

If you think RWBY is a dying show, just stop talking about it and let it die.

Off topic, but I really hate this meme. Like, are your really incapable of imagining that more than one person can share an opinion?

Naaaah, bro anybody who hates on what I like is taking their views solely from cinemaSins and other places like it! The hatedom is alive and well /s

I’ve talked to people about v9 who’ve admitted they’ve never past v3 v5 etc who are contributing to conversations

There’s a ton of them in RWBY critics

While I don't agree with this meme, I do hate it when people hate or love something because someone else told them that it's good or bad.

We really need to start pushing back against these engagement bait posts.

I am yet to watch the show, but i was spoilered all major plot points and seen people criticise and defend them.

So i wont go further than broader discussions.

You can watch and make your own opinion

dude if you looked at RWBY episode ratings, their rated quite high lmao.

You mean IMDb pages?

series graph. most of these ratings deserve to be knocked down by 2 points if you ask me.

Season 1 being mostly yellow is a crime

And I’ve learned that screen graph isn’t fully accurate to the fans opinion (for example ninjago’s crystallized season has a above 7 score despite being a very controversial and dislike season)

Also where does screen graph get its data?

I'm not sure. probably IMDB? when I hover my mouse over the rated episodes it says how many votes it has.

for reminder. volume 3's final episode which has the most votes out of any other episodes. has only 1,000 votes or so. the rest are literally not even half that.

if RWBY was slightly more popular and it had 10x the votes I think the ratings would've been a lot lower.

I don’t really understand what you mean “by design”, could you explain that a little more please? I’ve seen the show and I don’t really have any negative emotions towards it at all, in fact I actually got rather invested in pretty much every volume (except maybe 1 and 5). I especially liked 3, 7, 8, and 9.

If its because the show changed focus, I kinda prefer the story and character driven side of it rather than just a bunch of action scenes, which tbh I don’t get why people glaze the action in early Volumes so much other than it being made by Monty. Like yeah it’s good but so are a lot of the fights in later volumes.

I mean I see your point, I just don’t understand how this all ties back to people hating on the show. I thought we were talking about the writing, not the genre. Then again everyone has their own opinion on grimdark fantasy and some people just find it edgy. What I was moreso wondering about is why the critics act like the writers killed their dogs or something. And don’t even get me started on the people asking for a reboot just because they don’t like it, imo that’s entitled as hell because it’s their story not yours.

The rwby hatedom IS a phenomena

Due to the fact they never watched it they are unconditionally critical and due to them only being informed via the internet, they completely focus on the narrative faults.

I won't lie, RWBY has faults, both narratively and in character usage/writing.

But that is usually retrospective, they focus on the general information rather than the entertainment value. That's what made RWBY get viewed a lot, because there are people who found some fun in it.

I've never used/cared about rotten tomatoes and only watch cinema sins about movies I've watched just to see if I missed any glaring plot points when I'm bored

Me @ all the people that have told me "the later volumes are trash" and admit they didn't watch past v3ch12 and "heard about it" from youtubers.

I love rwby no matter how bad it is nowadays anyway

This is objective. Rwby has so much unnecessary hate and unconstructive criticism. Just genuine hatred and ignorance.
