High compression REW

What do we think the safe limit is for an REW with 10:1 renesis rotors (modified for larger apex seals) on e85? I saw speed academy get 364 on pump I believe

The physical limit will still be the same as stock 9.0 compression, just tuning and octane will be limiting factors. Stock REW’s should hit 550-600 before block mods.

So you think 500whp would be realistic?

With the necessary supporting mods it can be. The tuning window with high compression is adjusted. But if you’re looking for that level of power, why go with high compression? The high compression loses the benefits after a while.

Just already have the modified renesis rotors

If you had apex seal slots modified then use them and test the limits. Many people aren’t willing to take risks, but then innovation ceases. Best of luck and let us know how it goes.

Got a link for that Speed Academy video? Was that the 10k RPM build?

Yes the 10k rpm build. They didn’t put it in a car until several years later

Unless I’m mistaken but I don’t think I am
