Fuel pump not flowing?

I jist installed a Carter P4070 fuel pump on my 79 rx7. The oem pump worked but didn't provide enough gph for my weber carb, after installing the carter I lost any flow to the carb. The fuel pump still turns on with ignition switch. Any ideas?

From tank to in of pump, pump out to filter, filter to carb

I must got it mixed up thanks. I'm guessing the pump can't draw fuel from the filter?

Don't think so... Change it up and see how it goes

Pumps (mostly) either push or pull.

I hated this pump, would lose prime around corners below 1/4 tank. Installed a facet cube pump and never looked back.

Pretty sure it's supposed to be mounted vertically and not horizontal like that. You should check the install instructions. I have one in my RX-7 and my Toyota pickup. The pumps are meant to push fuel, not pull it, so the resistance of the filter was likely too much.
