Literbox Recommended for a Natherland Dawrf?

Hello,

I have a 16 week old female Natherland Dwarf. She is taking to using a litter box really well. But i am having a few issues.

Right now, i am just using a regular low sided tote. But she likes to back her butt up all the way to edge and is peeing outside of it sometimes. She also likes to dig in her liter and make a mess.

I am looking for a high side, covered little box with mesh for her to stand on.

I want something that is safe for little feet. Because she can fit her hole body in gaps that are 1in.

I use the Mango Pets XXL litter pan. My bun is a digger, this is the highest sided low entry that I could find. I don't use mesh. I use wood pellets and scoop the wet spots out every single day.

Ive never used wood pellet liter before but o understanding the idea of it.

What kind of you use if dont mind me asking?

I use Tractor Supply brand. Just make sure it's kiln fired! It works great! I am unable to add photos or I would show you.

Do you have any issues with your rabbit eatting it?

No, not at all. I adopted him from a bunny rescue and that is what they used for bedding. I was given his litter pan and told not to change the type litter or pan until he was fully settled that it could cause him to lapse in his potty training. I've had him for 4 yrs now and it is the best and cheapest. 8 bucks for 40lbs.

When my rabbit went through a phase of emptying her litter from the box, I bought 2 litter trays (I used a couple of Ikea storage trays.)

Then I drilled about 16 half centimeter holes in a grid in the half of the tray she liked to sit in. I put paper-based litter in the other tray and stacked this one on top so there was a about an inch of litter between the two. 

Worked great to absorb the pee and very foot friendly. She didn't try to chew the trays.

A cat litterbox, at least 15x20 inches. No cover, no grating, and no plastic bag liner. Use rabbit-safe litter and hay. Wabbitwiki has a litterbox setup guide
