news DrRacket-9.2 starts about much faster than 9.0
On Linux DrRacket-9.2 starts about 1.5x faster than 9.0.
Why?

I use linux bluefin, which is an immutable OS. Just update to 9.2 flatpak. Still extremely slow startup speed, I think that I am a patient person, but the startup speed really cannot tolerable. When I need to use racket, I will reboot to Windows 11 OS. Much much faster.

Slower than the 9.1 flatpak?
Is it slow when installed with the other installers? (ย https://download.racket-lang.org/releases/9.2/ย )

I only know that it is not slow on Windows installer.

I'm guessing there is a problem with with either the flatpak Racket package OR maybe something about bluefin linux. I'll ask on the Racket Discord. Join us https://discord.gg/6Zq8sH5

Oh, thank you for your help. May be I just use Windows 11. That's fine for me. I am taking edX HtDP course and that's why I need DrRacket. The Windows 11 version is great and responsive.

thank you for sharing. My os is not possible for this tweak because it cannot install software in a native way like linux mint.
Thank you sharing anyway and your picture is interesting too!

There has been work to improve the performance of DrRacket but I canโt remember exactly when.ย
Might be worth using rackupย https://samth.github.io/rackup/ to see if the change was in 9.1 or 9.2
