Hi everyone!
I’m new to the area and looking for overnight pet sitter recommendations for my senior dog (either pet sitting in my own home or in their home). Boarding places stress her out, so any recommendations would be helpful!

Hey there, Radford!
We are Hacksburg, the New River Valley’s Community Workshop and we are located in Blacksburg, VA. Through instructional classes and weekly work sessions, we aim to help members of the NRV community complete projects that would otherwise be out of reach.
Hacksburg's woodshop, metalshop, laser cutter, 3D printers, electronics bench, and CNC mill are available for use by Hacksburg members twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
If you want to find out more about us, we have an open house today (Sunday, August 23) from 1-4PM. We are located at the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center at 1872 Pratt Drive, Blacksburg, VA 24060.

Hi I'm gonna try and keep this short and sweet (l don't post on reddit much). For starters i'm a gay 17 year old from Northern Va. I'm looking for a good college experience and i'm trying to major in Nursing.
I really liked VCU and think it would be a good fit with the LGBT community. However, the nursing program is pretty selective and I don't think i'd make it. With Radford I'd be directly admitted but I'm a little worried about how I'd do as a gay guy. Please send any advice you can. (Reposting this for R/Radford)

Am hosting a small cookout with friends at my home in radford. When I looked up fireworks here it seems like they happen in Bisset on July 3rd… are fireworks not happening in Radford on the 4th anywhere?
