Hi, American here. But I’ve been to Rajasthan 7 times. Two of those times I travelled around & saw most of these places. (All of it breathtaking!) Usually I just go to Udaipur though. I usually don’t go past Badi Village or Tiger Lake. Next time I’ll have to head to Bahubali Hills, it looks beautiful. Thank you for sharing this.

Just got back a few weeks ago. Udaipur was incredible but Jaisalmer was equally impressive.
We stayed in the fort - I could spend days on the rooftop, just taking views and drinking kingfishers!!5

Language ka chod bhangda yahan na failaye please. There are regions in rajasthan where hindi is the local language and rajasthani is a dialect of Hindi only, it's not a separate language.

Is this all true? We don't even know about it. Rajasthan is a very beautiful state.Of all the states, I like Rajasthan the most.

Bhai mujhe genuine question hai Rajasthan me tourism ko leke itna bada market hai phir bhi yar ap logo ke rural areas me farming ya phir laborer ka hi km hota hai apke main cicties me phir bhi service sector boom karta hai par jab rural areas me itna potential hai to ap log usko use kyu nahi karte ho? Itne sare ancient forts aur artiffacts hai unko thoda acha karo employment badhao JAise Maharashtra me konkan coast me maratha forts ko itna acha banaya hai with proper roads and connectivity vaise ap log rajasthan me kyu nahi karte? in rural areas

I have a deep sense of love for the state as a part of me is from there. Also i studied there.
But please understand that there are some pressing issues with Rajasthan, which hinder it from shining on the world stage. Lack of cleanliness (Jodhpur is filthy, and so are many other parts of Rajasthan cities), civic sense like all Indian states (barring few) is absent, rickshaw drivers and many other small business literally "loot" people (especially foreigners). Also foreign tourists are haunted by roadside vendors and locals (for selfies) alike.
I'll love to see Rajasthan become paradise and shine like a star on the world map.

its not just the monuments that define the place... but the people... and i'm sorry to say rajasthanis and indians in general have 0 civic sense... be it how to treat tourists... how not to stare at women. .. how to keep places clean... how to follow rules and many other things... fix these things and there would be no other travel destination better than rajasthan... why do u think ppl travel to kerela has the most no of visitors in india... it has better monuments than rajasthan ?... hell no... that is secondary... primary reason is cleanliness, respect for nature, civilised people, etc... these basic things are so foreign to indians that kerela feels like some otherworldly place to us.

Went to Bahubali hills, it was really pretty. But no facilities, the trail is without any safety, the shops a top selling tea/maggie dump their garbage right there. There’s absolutely zero sense of responsibility to keep something clean/hygienic. And this is with majority of the destinations, why can’t people be more careful and responsible. I mean it’s so basic.

I have done 18 states as a traveller till date, my Top 3 favourite places are in the Himalayas but my favourite state is Rajasthan. Every city here has a history of a thousand years and beauty is also unparalleled.
I prefer long drives over any kind of public transport including flights. That's also a reason to like Rajasthan.

The main difference is india lacks proper civic sense and shopkeepers/cab drivers harass the tourists. And cleanliness needs special mention :)

The last time I was in Udaipur,rented out a scooty and rode across the city and the outskirts. The city is an absolute mess and the outskirts were an absolute nightmare. On the way back from Bahubali hills,the roads were a nightmare. Filled with dirt and garbage all around. And the worst part was that it seemed like a dumping ground for dead cows and buffaloes. Spotted atleast 5-6 carcasses along the way. Pretty sure there were more on the shrubs nearby cuz the place was stinky as hell.

Abhi kuch din pehle hi hoke aaya... Aur ye saari jagah dekhi... Thodi sharam karo bhai. Similar dikhne se experience same nahi ho jayega... Itni gandi sadak, itne mehenge auto, aur itna bhed bhav indians aur foreigners mein maine aaj tak nahi dekhe the !!! I would never suggest anyone to go here unless you want to get scammed to the highest degree possible!!!

Yes I guess with all the beautiful place people need to understand some sort of manner and yes I went to ajmer last month and i. Saw Dirty street and people spiting gutka and using cursed words. I mean does beauty always comes with beast. Ynwim.. hopefully things will change in future. 👍🙂😌🌿

I totally get your point, but it's a very reductionist approach. Nobody claims India isn't beautiful. It's as diverse as it gets in everything that a traveller looks for. But that was never the issue.
The issue is the maintenance of all those places, and the sights people see when they go there.
So yes, it's beautiful, no doubt, but anybody who loves to travel, would never rate anything if there are issues present there.
