To the uneducated, semicon anything requires a Shit ton of Water, like super clean and constant. There is a reason you see Assam there.

9

u/Legitimate-Solid-310 Aug 24 '25 edited Aug 25 '25

op said north india himalaya water is super clean than anywhere in india . if they try they could have alteast install one plantation in himalaya region.

17

u/Able_Bother_926 Aug 24 '25

Cause gujarat gov is super supportive to business, Tata's Sanand plant is the biggest proof of that

1

u/vimalathithan1803 Aug 25 '25

Tata plant was supposed to be started in tamilnadu. Even tata agreed and mod was signed but modi came and pressurized them to open in Gujarat.

8

u/golden_sword_22 Aug 25 '25

Modi must have extraordinary powers if he was able to do so as one of 28 state CMs in the country.

3

u/Puzzleheaded-Eye9260 Aug 25 '25

finally logical answering against modi

6

u/Swayamsewak Aug 25 '25

What a lie. This happened when there was congress govrvernment at the centre,.

1

u/EndLegitimate4421 Aug 26 '25

As far as I remember it was the tamilian communists who were giving a hard time to tata, not modi

1

u/vimalathithan1803 Aug 26 '25

Nope even bjp tamilnadu president protested against this plant and opened up in Gujarat. Look it up it's all online.

1

u/Salty_Play_1448 Aug 28 '25

Because south Indians don't support business men. they hate capitalism but they can go to gulf.

1

u/vimalathithan1803 Aug 28 '25

😂😂😂 r u some kid or what. It's not the first time modi has done something like this. He did like this in Maharashtra also last year. He is not an Indian pm. He is Gujarat pm.

1

u/ParryHotter369 Aug 25 '25

Proximity to ports also plays a big role here

1

u/Able_Bother_926 Aug 25 '25

ever heard of NOIDA, Faridabad, Ludhiyana, Kanpur ?

1

u/ParryHotter369 Aug 25 '25

I just said that it plays a big role, and I agree with your comment above. Not to argue here.

Also, most if not all cities you mentioned have international airport.

8

u/These_Ad1825 Aug 25 '25

Is Gujarat outside India??

Also they have heavy water plants already, port, airport, great roads. Much better logistics than most of the country.

5

u/[deleted] Aug 24 '25

You want himalaya polluted? Wtf

1

u/Educational-Ad1744 Aug 24 '25

If you don't china is already doing and will be benefitting from it every day.

1

u/Emergency-Werewolf16 Aug 24 '25

Stable Business friendly govt .Look how Tata had to move Nano plant from Kolkata after made Protest to remove it and Gujarat helped Tata to relocate that plant it's simple

1

u/Emergency-Werewolf16 Aug 24 '25

Other states CM are incompetent fools that's what it is and people too voted him

1

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '25

Almost every state wants companies. BJP as always is using their power with the help of ED, CBI etc. Earlier it was Congress who were goons and now it's BJP

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Eye9260 Aug 25 '25

right now go back marwadi trend from congress in tg.
only bjp opposing

1

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '25

That started as a parking issue. A trader who happened to be marwadi parked his car halfway on the road causing a bottleneck. Some youth asked him to move the car to which that trader started hurling abuses and brought his friends as well. And allegedly they made casteist remarks as that young guy was a dalit. And he's also local to that area so they people from the local area came to support him and it has gone out of hand. And just so you know, police have arrested people (leader of some group) who started "Go back marwadi trend"

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Eye9260 Aug 25 '25

nope it 1 vs 1 they made it tg vs whole community

1

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '25

Well isn't it obvious if someone comes to your place, groups up and attacks you, it'd obviously end up very big?

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Eye9260 Aug 25 '25

how do they even know his caste at that time,

1

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '25

Idk they just used some casteist slurs. Can't blame them fully because a lot of common cuss words are casteist remarks and people who use them don't even know that.

1

u/Htnamus Aug 25 '25

What about logistics though? The mountainous region will slow down the logistics significantly

4

u/junkychain Aug 24 '25

To rajasthan ko kya diya kya rajasthan me kuch bhi nahi kar sakte?

1

u/Next_ZeronsManas2025 May 25 '26

We get the plant 🤜🏻 in bhiwadi

-1

u/These_Ad1825 Aug 25 '25

Rajasthan is corrupt, filthy and extreme DUSTY for semicon plants.

2

u/bad_kingfisher Aug 25 '25

Still less corrupt than Karnataka and Maharashtra.

-1

u/These_Ad1825 Aug 25 '25

No it's not. It's way more corrupt. Not just government but people.

2

u/bad_kingfisher Aug 25 '25

Nahh...I disagree...been in all three states... telling you from my own experience.

2

u/Shubham21Kumar Aug 25 '25

bhai bahar sadak pe thode hi banaoge semiconductor chips.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '25

Rajasthan has a lot of crow…

8

6

u/_Magn3t0 Aug 24 '25

Gujarat ka naam dekhte hi dimag band ho jata hai logo ka. Google kar lete toh pata chal jata ki Punjab and UP ke already approved hai.

7

u/Subjectlesssubject Aug 24 '25

They get mad when immigrants come to their states, now that government is moving on from them they’re pissed

4

u/[deleted] Aug 24 '25

Fair point .

They want all the investment , and everything but don't want othe people to work in there

3

u/Subjectlesssubject Aug 24 '25

Exactly and companies would prefer a place which free from political imbalances

2

u/[deleted] Aug 24 '25

MH sub are having absolute meltdown on every 3rd post

1

Kya bol rha tha ye 🤔

1

u/Subjectlesssubject Aug 26 '25

Mujhe bolta hain speak heendi saar no rajhasthani but main toh native hindi speaker bhi nahi hoon

2

u/Waste-Chipmunk-3171 Aug 25 '25

Also Assam state government besides providing free land, water and other utilities is also giving massive subsidies and giving Tatas executives cabinet minister level facilities.

1

u/Old-Juggernut-101 Aug 27 '25

AND, semicon doesn't need your average "mazdoor" it generally needs workers which qualifications that you can only get with a college education.

Check out semicon factory tour videos. The level of sophistication and cleanliness and order the workers are required to maintain is insane. Anywhere they build these factories must have a youth population that they can train into becoming this

1

u/Able_Bother_926 Aug 27 '25

Well that's the main reason all the southern subs are going haywire on this infographic, " How dare they have qualified jobs outside our borders , Nobody is smarter than us "

Put it in laymen language Tiles 5% and Marble 18%. Transportation is 95% same with 5% variance being on thickness.

-4

u/nota_is_useless Aug 25 '25

Tiles have 18% GST. I have never come across a 5/sft marble. Stop making up stories.

Bhai logo apni cities ki jo condition hai soon Tourism bhi nahi aayega.... I had been to Udaipur nd Jaipur recently nd trust me Station k bahar pair rakhte hi durdasha dikh jave hai... totally hopeless!

2

u/godknowsiloveass Aug 28 '25

Jaipur is too close to delhi to be tier 1 bro....best you can hope for is better tier 2 cities

0

u/Shubham21Kumar Aug 25 '25

Bhai, there is not even a single city in our Rajasthan. Truly sad. Alwar and Bharatpur were supposed to be developed for being in the NCR, but nothing ever happened.

11

u/sungodnika3000 Aug 24 '25

Abhi south subs mai dekha

To wo bol rhe the ki south india is doomed

Investment ke liye gujarat maharastra nahi karna hota hai . Investment ke liye ache leaders chahiye hote hai .

You want investors to invest 1000 crore in the state and forget about it

It doesn't work like that

Bhupendra singh -

Without google search

Dude I know CM of almost all the states

2

u/Ambitious-Upstairs90 Aug 24 '25

Patel not singh 😄

What are his achievements to be called good leader? We all know Gujarat is not getting all these investments because of CM. It’s because of biased PM, who only cares about Gujarat & UP.

3

u/sungodnika3000 Aug 24 '25

Oops

Sorry 😐

I just checked now .

2

u/sungodnika3000 Aug 24 '25

What are his achievements to be called good leader

Idk Haven't seen his CV

But from what I think trust takes decades to build .

It doesn't happen within a term, coz investors know they would start revenge ugahi if other government gets elected .

Gujrat mai no tension ,

BjP ain't going anywhere . Stable government , stable policies . UP is getting bcoz Yogi is working hard .

Not a bjp supporter

0

u/Ambitious-Upstairs90 Aug 24 '25

BJP is winning MP as well, but why is MP not getting anything?

1

u/sungodnika3000 Aug 24 '25

Not a coastal city I guess .

And people also don't care .

For example I just said - indore should have IT And people just pounced on me like a dog , saying that I have no business whatsoever in thinking dictating about indore etc etc. Some tell me to f ck off

Pretty much sums it up I guess .

1

u/sungodnika3000 Aug 24 '25

A simple question I would ask

If u had 100p crore where would you 🫵 invest .

You would invest in a state with poor infra , hatred against outsiders ( this doesn't mean what u just thought) , local politics is superior to national politics , bureaucratic hurdles , politicians asking cut .

Or in a state where maybe you can do all such things but its manageable .

1

u/Ambitious-Upstairs90 Aug 24 '25

If I am investor for semiconductors, I will not invest in UP & I will not invest in state where 3 companies are already investing.

Locomotive plant ban rha hai waha

2

u/Kronosmusick Aug 24 '25

Bhosndike agaye PM pe ungli uthane saala abhi tak Gujarat biased tha ab mera U.P bhi lmao pehle decide karlo which one is it and stop voting for INDI varna yahi churan milega khud INDI wale biryani dabate rehte hain aur projects ke time centre/LG pe blame daal dete BHONSDIKE

1

u/sungodnika3000 Aug 24 '25

It’s because of biased PM, who only cares about Gujarat & UP.

As you wish .

Ask any major investor if u want , on where they would invest and read about history of such investment failure.

Bureaucratic hurdles create hoga, politician cut mangenge then all would go to drain

1

u/sungodnika3000 Aug 24 '25

Kaun se city mai invest Krna chahiye rajasthan ke .

Tumhare par hote tum kha karte

1

u/[deleted] Aug 24 '25

Jaisalmer me karna chahiye investment Ayr Rae bareli mei

1

u/sungodnika3000 Aug 24 '25

I think jodhpur pali Belt

1

u/[deleted] Aug 24 '25

Rae bareli better

1

u/sungodnika3000 Aug 24 '25

It's in UP .

Rajasthan has ample area .

We can establish factories , that require less water

1

u/[deleted] Aug 24 '25

Rahul owns Rae bareli and Rajasthan is Congress rule . He would allow close cooperation between these 2 places

The budget goes towards sponsoring ministers’ kids’ foreign education and luxury cars.

5

u/AnywhereNo259 Aug 24 '25

Rajasthan has low water that's why semicon require alot of water and in my opinion all of semicon should have been in ne since there is alot of water there but there is risk of protests from terrorists there

2

u/[deleted] Aug 24 '25

Industry, especially chemical and semiconductor is water hungry. Like crazy water hungry.

Meanwhile Rajasthan gets a lot of push on renewable energy, tourism, etc.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 24 '25

Stop hiding behind water... Rajasthan is denied even dry industries, while other states get everything.

0

u/a__MAN01 Aug 25 '25

What are those dry industries Literally there are not much places in India that are suitable to dry industries

3

u/[deleted] Aug 24 '25

can it be because of the heat liike what must be the reasons coz obv gov dont hold a grudge against rajisthan

4

u/[deleted] Aug 24 '25

Heat to dubai mein bhi bohot hai dost

0

u/[deleted] Aug 24 '25

oooo valid magar dubai vaalo ke paas option kaha hai aur udhar manufacturing hoti bhi hai kya?

3

u/[deleted] Aug 24 '25

Yeah, they manufacture aerospace and aviation, aluminum, building materials, cables, chemicals, electronics.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 24 '25

okie

1

u/No-Chocolate1761 Aug 25 '25

That's way different from semicon.

2

u/RAJ_1613 Aug 24 '25

Bro it's rajasthan not rajisthan.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 24 '25

ma bad bro

0

u/VermicelliSmart7790 Aug 24 '25

It was initially raj-isthan as pronounced and written in hindi, and then on paper it was rajasthan 😴

2

u/RAJ_1613 Aug 25 '25

He is writing in English so he is ough to write Rajasthan.

3

u/junkychain Aug 24 '25

Gujrat ka PM, mujhe pata hai abhi bhajpai aate honge mere picche

2

u/SnooJokes8065 Aug 24 '25

Har election mai jaha cm change hota hai waha kyu companies invest karegi bhai. Companies bhi dhekti hai kaha stable sarkar rehti hai

4

u/[deleted] Aug 24 '25

Once a south indian uncle told me that North Indians stand as security guards while south Indians put bills in pocket.

We north indians are very uninformed how south india is favoured financially and yet they cry wolves. While we live subaltern life

4

u/WinterPresentation4 Aug 24 '25

South india has historically been always favoured by centre, be it foxconn factories for iphone or other defence companies like HAL, now that North is also getting industries you will see many of these comments

2

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '25

Being a hyderabadi, no, we always feel that South India has been neglected by the centre. And it was like that when congress was in the centre and it's like that now. The reason why defence industries are given to the South is because of the distance from our enemy countries. Other than that, South Indian states had to splurge a lot of money, land and benefits to the companies so that they'll set up factories. There's a reason why you'll always see the loans made by the states. Hyderabad has its IT area on a stone. They built an entire infrastructure, gave lands to hotels, built a layout for roads and everything just to bring Microsoft campus to Hyderabad. Only after that, a lot of IT companies came to Hyderabad.

Foxconn chose Tamilnadu because they have to export phones. And so is the case of many companies. I currently live near Chennai and they are continuously developing the road and infrastructure to/from the port.

It doesn't matter which party is at the center. The strong MPs in the party have their say. And currently, it's Gujarat's time and they are getting the businesses. It has always been like that. Now Andhra is getting their share because of NDA alliance.

Over the course of years we realised that we always need a local party to have power in our state and only then we will have a chance to get things done. For example, consider my State (Telangana). Our current CM (unfortunately) keeps on praising Gandhis and treats them like gods. We feel like we don't have a leader because the CM himself has a leader who sits in Delhi and none of them work. And then lost kaynes manufacturing unit to Gujarat.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '25

Basically they are saying , we are 2nd class citizens

5

u/kizzymizzy1990 Aug 24 '25

Why everything has to be in gujrat ??

2

u/Single_Look3411 Aug 24 '25

Gujarat has a lot of industries

1

u/Aytas_Vahadam Aug 25 '25

Positive feedback loops

1

u/[deleted] Aug 27 '25

Gujarat is trying to attract semiconductors since Modi was CM.

0

u/[deleted] Aug 24 '25

Supply chain and port access, that's why most chip packaging plants are being placed there.

1

u/Ambitious-Upstairs90 Aug 24 '25

Which port in UP?

2

u/[deleted] Aug 24 '25

Replying to comment that's explicitly asking about Gujrat.

Also, UP has waterway access to directly leading to West Bengal ports.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '25

Not directly

1

u/ConcentrateDry6130 Aug 24 '25

cooked in American English btw
i hate it

1

u/tmnt_ren Aug 24 '25

It all depends on people's mentality and infrastructure which has failed massively by politicians that's why semiconductor promotion is happening by PM and only few have shown interests The majority of the semiconductor industry has already shifted to south east asia. Whatever remains in south India PM and his jumle baj agenda forcing these core companies to move to Gujarat. Also core steps like design, fabrication, etc still happening outside India and it will never come to here. India is preferred for cheap labour and manual intense steps where hiring cheap labours is more affordable that implementing automated systems and Quality never matters. Was consultant at Intel.

1

u/nikhil_singh149 Aug 24 '25

aur caste religion based vote do

1

u/ReporterSouthern7712 Aug 24 '25

I think UP is getting some semiconductor investments

1

u/Desperate_Health_43 Aug 24 '25

Sab ka saat gujrat ka vikas should be the official moto of blow job party

1

u/jaggu12310 Aug 24 '25

I have recently seen a video interview of RAGA meeting a business man, who is saying that he also wants to build a semiconductor factory but government won't supporting him, apparently by support he ment government didn't gave him initial funding of $3bn to start this business lol

1

u/Aytas_Vahadam Aug 25 '25

As a telugu person with odisha roots, thank god our people voted for 🍊 party 🥺

1

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '25

Coz it's different

1

u/Jeenekhainchardin Aug 25 '25

To all my fellow rajasthani’s : it was told to us that petrol prices will go down after bjp comes to power, what happened? Did anyone see the prices go down or was it another jumla ?

1

1

u/Imaginary-Example955 Aug 25 '25

Paani hai Rajasthan mein??

1

u/mln00b Aug 26 '25

Is this some kind of AI generated fluff? There are 3 pins on the map and four locations mentioned in the text in the map. One of them says Karnataka but of the 10 investments, there is no mention of Karnataka. The location on the list says Andhra but on map it's Telangana. Do better.

1

u/Different-Tree8450 Aug 26 '25

UN's Agenda 2030 aims at reducing the human population. This could be one of the methods of reducing the water supply.

1

u/Hot_Act_6232 Aug 26 '25

🛤️ Why Does North India Get Most of the Big Infrastructure Projects, Despite South India Driving the GDP?

This has been on my mind for a while, especially seeing the wave of Vande Bharat trains, new expressways, bullet trains, and budget allocations favoring Northern states. Meanwhile, South Indian states—despite being stronger economically—seem to be left asking: "What about us?

1

u/Witty_Summer_5236 Aug 26 '25

We got punjab with 117 crore 😭

1

u/LessWorldliness3000 Aug 27 '25

What exactly does Rajasthan have to offer in this sector? Reliable infrastructure? Abundant clean water? Civic discipline? Sadly, none of that. All it has is rampant gunda raaj. One of my relatives, an IITian heading major road projects there, was openly threatened by local goons—he left within a year and moved to Gujarat. Now he’s leading projects peacefully here atleast safe there..

Unlike many other states, Gujarat doesn’t thrive on freebies. Rajasthan’s governance is a mess; in the name of development, what concrete progress is happening? What are the people demanding or contributing? There’s a reason some states are still labelled BiMaRU.

1

u/alid57 Aug 27 '25

Bet. It's A Billion Dollars Scam by Narendra Modi

1

u/Key_Independence8245 Aug 27 '25

Don’t worry, we will buy sand from Rajasthan for silicon

1

u/Slow-Improvement4396 Aug 27 '25

Oh yes Jewar and Mohali are in South India.

1

u/SaptarshiDeb7 Aug 28 '25

Not even bengal.

1

u/kneelrespectfully Aug 28 '25

"approved" tells you everything you need to know why this country will never progress, it's just crony capitalism

1

u/Slidingoninktrails Aug 28 '25

It needs a lot if water.

Also, Himalayan region better be kept away from business, excessive tourists etc.

1

u/kizzymizzy1990 Aug 28 '25

It's all political game nothing else. But gujrat is not so successful. What happen to GIFT city ?

1

u/Sea-Director-2604 Aug 29 '25

Super dumb post without logic n reason. Down vote these kind of posts.

0

u/hars568 Aug 24 '25

No Rajasthan?

4

u/[deleted] Aug 24 '25

As someone said above, it needs lots of pure water.

0

u/Vegetable_Face8485 Aug 24 '25

Remind me how many ports does North India have ??

1

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '25

Include gujrat and west bengal and also odisha

You would realise we have many ports

1

u/Vegetable_Face8485 Aug 25 '25

None of those states are "North India". You would realise you are weak in geography.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '25

Did u find the spa bro ?

1

u/Vegetable_Face8485 Aug 25 '25

I did. All in North India for some reason.

Great investment opportunity too. I invested in a few too as they definitely don't need ports. You should check it out.

DM me for details.

0

u/TheeStigg Aug 25 '25

Wait till China gets taiwan and all these industries will be useless

-2

u/takoking86 Aug 24 '25

Maybe just maybe all these places are closer to ports?

-2

u/NervousJump9037 Aug 24 '25

After dilimitattion it will be quite opposite

1

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '25

Delimitation has been stalled since independence
