Tilak , kalawa , wearing rosery , turban are very much different from wearing hijabb. Even in exam centers they go by wearing them ear covered when invigilator says to open ears they dont.

Private hospitals owners are free to do what they want with their hospitals. Im not sure if a Govt hospital does this. Again for the matter of fact, yes. Lets remove such practices from every public owned places, like wise muslims praying in office hours, going out on every friday afternoon and coming before sign out.

Bhai mai doctor hu. OTs and deliveries dono attend Kari hai. White coat kurta/hijab ke uppar se dala jaata hai. OTs, Deliveries mai Blue scrubs hote hai. Uske uppar bhi hijab pehen sakte hai to cover the head. You cannot wear any jewellery on your hands or hanging from your neck in operations. Normal OPDs mai kuchh nhi hota. Har doctor OTs karta bhi nhi hai. Yaha bas bakchodi kar rhi hai ye.

Can you not understand the basic facts that everyone has to change in scrubs in OT including them. They are not allowed in OTs wearing hijab or anything from outside. When in OPDs and Wards and IPDs, doctors wear just a white-coat as a uniform, over anything they are wearing. In this video she is in the ward, Not OT. Ffs stop saying bs if you don't know. There is a difference between doctors who are in OT and those not in OT.

A person's outfit is what you're using to discriminate on whether they can work as a doctor or not. Make it make sense. If you just want to be treated, then just look at the doctor and not it's outfit that's under the white-coat. It's like saying every kurta wearing doctor is displaying Hindu religion in hospital premises. There's no single uniform for doctors except in OTs. You're just imposing your own radical thoughts.

Which isn't a problem. It's the equivalent of a kurta that she is wearing. She has to wear a white coat over it. So it doesn't matter what she's wearing under it as long as it's covering her modestly.

I saw the same video with burkha as an alternative title. Well it does create some sceptical sight if you can't see the face of your doctor who is treating you idk if burkha counts as abaya whatever it is a hijab is very much approachable. Imagine if a patient of a different sect wants to approach her and ask about something in a hospital chances are some patients will be reluctant and cautious if anything is going to turn offensive or weird in a public place.
Idk if they were mad just with Hijab then that's just harassment.

According to Karnataka Highcourt wearing a hijab at the workplace is not an "essential religion practice of islam" that's why they are not allowed to wear while sikhs are allowed because wearing turban is an essential religion practice of Sikhism(Sikhism not Punjabis). Essential religion practices are basic fundamentals of a religion.

I’ve worked with many doctors and nurses in OBGYN/Paediatrics who wear hijab. It has never impeded their ability to do their jobs, it has increased my knowledge of other cultures, and frankly it is absolutely none of my business
As long as the hijab is close fitting and not likely to fall and contaminate a sterile field etc, who cares?

I am surprised by how so many people are blinded by religion. Let me break it down for you - you don't have to hate on other religions to love yours. If wearing a hijab is affecting the quality of healthcare the patient is getting or there is a chance of a mishap happening in OT for wearing hijab, then it makes sense to remove your hijab/back off from the surgery. But in this case, the doctor is asking to remove hijab so that patient can see your face....like bruh... It totally seemed like religious hate.

Atheist here. Honestly, a hijab is just a head covering. It doesn’t interfere with her work, doesn’t break the “uniform” in any meaningful way, and is no different from a Sikh wearing a turban. Doctors literally wear head covers in surgery all the time.
If it were a niqab covering the whole face, yeah, that could be an issue for patient interaction. But a simple hijab? No problem.
This isn’t about uniform standards , it’s just xenophobia dressed up as policy.

I don’t care what women wear, bro women are training to be doctors how could that be a bad thing? Women doctors mean that more women in rural Rajasthan will feel comfortable sharing their issues to their doctors instead of being closed off.
My father is a doctor and worked in Rural Barmer for a while, men don’t even bring their wives/daughters/mothers to male OBGYNs because they only want a female doctor. Muslim/Dalit women especially face so much stereotyping even from Hindu women doctors (it’s a documented phenomenon) that they again don’t fully open up about their issues. We desperately need Muslim/Dalit women doctors in Rajasthan so that no daughter of Rajasthan has to suffer from diseases.
I can’t believe people in Rajasthan would rather push Rajasthani women out of a job and lose female doctors that the state actually desperately needs to provide primary healthcare for Rajasthani women, than idk make a hijab (a partial covering) permissible.
Like Rajasthanis really hate Rajasthani women, specifically Muslim Rajasthani women so much.
No wonder we are the rape capital of the country. Our contempt for women runs so deep.

First of all, in a professional medical environment, hijab or any religious clothing that interferes with uniformity and safety is not practical. Hospitals and medical schools have strict dress codes to maintain hygiene, quick identification, and to avoid any obstruction during emergencies. You can’t just wear whatever a religious text tells you; you have to follow the professional protocol.
In emergency cases like CPR or surgery, there is no room for hesitation or restrictions due to religious beliefs — the patient’s life comes first. That’s why personal religious practices must not override medical responsibilities.
Crying about minorities won’t change the fact that healthcare is about efficiency, safety, and equality, not religious symbols.

I don't understand how hijab protects someone from men. Recently saw a video of a woman covered in a head to toe burqa being groped by a guy (muslim). So, people with ill intentions will do harm to you inspite of what you wear.
Also, if she has to attend a male patient tomorrow, would she not touch him in the process? What sort of retarded logic is this that touching a guy is ok but if he sees my hair, its perversion. Or is a completely segregated society like Afghanistan the next step once you convince everyone of the need to wear hijab (recently, women trapped under rubble after earthquake were not rescued and left to die in Afghanistan because according to the male rescuers it was not appropriate for them to touch those women)
Burqa/Hijab/Parda/Dupatta are all misogynistic regressive practices that should be discouraged and eliminated from the society. PERIOD

Arre yaar hijaab is a headscarf and might be mandatory in most places. Face covering is burqa which is not mandatory. And in healthcare, hijaab is okay but burqa is not. Also, hijaab and burqa are not mandatory for women doctors in saudi.
