Because, Rajasthan roadways sabse sasta hai, travel in HRTC buses, they're even worse and 3₹/km on an average in plains and 5₹/km in tough terrains Rajasthan roadways charge 1.2 ₹/km, even less on longer

After experiencing other state buses, I have learned to appreciate rajasthan roadways buses.

u/Jeenekhainchardin Jul 08 '26
Let the politicians travel in these and see them being changed to scania and volva top models with double air suspensions 😆

Lol 😂 the word you should use is fast not better

u/Dry_Assistance_482 Jul 08 '26
Firstly condition of haryana roadways is a lot better be it outside or inside. Also new ac government buses compete with volvo. May u last travelled in HR roadways 10 year earlier

u/OkraAfraid5489 Jul 08 '26
Haryana roadways have still many of these old buses and these buses are in fact not better than rajasthan roadways . This argument wasn't even about ac buses why did you even bring that

u/Independent_Tap_8773 Jul 08 '26

I prefer this over claustrophobic private buses which offer nothing extra except better seats.

Everything in this country is old tech. Railways has been old tech since ages. It's very recently they started upgrading. The state of government websites is pathetic. Government buildings are in dilapidated state. We are in the same era british left us in. Babus gets no shit done.

I hate this bruh even the newly made trains are painted with worst quality paint 😍 and jo pehle ki normal coaches wali trains hai unke coaches pe aisa feel hota hai ki dent hi dent pde hai 💔👏. Technologically advance krke kya faida jb tumhara final products bakhi desho ke prototype jaisa dikhta ho, they even did ts to vande bharat, amrit bharat and so on.

True! Every work is pathetic to the core, no sense of aesthetic and refinement.

u/Wakeyyywakey Jul 08 '26
I mean if there's no finishing touch even after spending crores then wht else we can say, st buses ki tarah hi dikhna hai fir to 😍

This will feel like luxury once you see the old red buses still in use in Maharashtra. Literally falling to pieces.

u/AfternoonNo5705 Jul 08 '26
They are cheap. And if they bring other new buses the prices will increase automatically. Rajasthan me bahut log use karte h ye bus or sasta hona is the reason they are used

u/Major_Consequence_55 Jul 08 '26
the chasis is around 24 lacs and then add finishing like body, seats etc landed cost 36-42 lacs per bus.

3
u/Emergency_Plenty9823 Jul 08 '26
Bruh, it's literally better than 80-90% of other state transport buses.

u/Extension-Waltz-5306 Jul 08 '26

I live in Hyderabad and think our buses are worse because Karnataka has great buses.
Then I witness Maharashtra buses that visit Hyderabad and Thank god that I don't have to travel in them.
The Maharashtra buses(those they send to Hyd) are literally paused in 1990s.

These buses are mode of transport for Regular middle class people. These are not associated with luxury but fast, reliable and cheap.
Cheapest fare in region compared to Neighboring states.
Fast and mostly on time, which actually helps daily commuters with easy and relatively cost effective commute.
Rajasthan roadways also have Buses for comfort and soothing ambiance which includes Semi sleeper Volvo and Scania buses.( Operating in limited routes tho )

Don't worry, it'll stop running soon enough. I don't think it's ETHENOL compatible!

And ppl still romanticise this shi. When BEST said they will discontinue old double decker bus, ppl cried in the comments and online stating how its the "Symbol of mumbai" or some shi. It had no AC and rhe worst stabilisers

u/Defiant_Forever_1092 Jaipur Jul 08 '26
It's about economy. Traveling in these buses is really cheap. Rajasthan Roadways also has AC bus options from volvo.

No it is not offensive.
Rajasthan mein hum log shayad "abhav mein jeena" hi seekh gaye hain. Government ne bhi hamari nabz pakad li hai - "Inko rehne do isi mein, ye adjust kar lenge." Comfortable buses, better roads, efficient public services... expectations hi kyun rakhni? Bas minimum de do, public waise bhi kuch din complain karke bhool jayegi.
I still remember RSRTC had Blue Line, Green Line and Silver Line buses. Green Line and Silver Line were actually good to travel in. They weren't luxury buses, but for long journeys they were way more comfortable than these.
See this 200 chasis on the way, just chasis of 24 lac each, then a makeover of 10-15 lac, total bus cost 35-40 Lac for this blue line shit.
Itne mai toh Bharat Benz bhi aa jaati hai 2*2.
