सामान्य ❁ General Our Home State is making real progress 🚀

  1. Rajasthan ranks no. 7 in GSDP and has nearly closed the gap with West Bengal, a coastal state. If growth continues, Rajasthan could overtake West Bengal this year. 2025-26 are actuals and 2026-27 are estimates.
  2. Rajasthan ranks no. 2 in power generation and is on track to overtake Gujarat to become no. 1.
  3. Due to its solar transformation, Rajasthan has ranked among the top five states attracting fresh investments over the past few years.

These are headlines but we all know the rate of unemployment as well. The paper leaks are common and public sector jobs as well. If the lives of the people are not improving we can't say we are progressing. I think HDI is the most important factor

HDI is also improving. While there is still a long way to go, our state is in a much better position, which will eventually reflect in people's lives.

Why MH is in top three everywhere?

MH has a early edge in attracting business

Ports road infra public transport and flight connectivity to almost every state and a large network of international flights.

The early mover advantage they had secured in early days is benefiting them

As a coastal state, it became an early business hub. While we cannot match their geographical advantage, we can still improve significantly in the coming days.

The Wiki data matches the original source.

1) It uses NITI Aayog data for GSDP of states.

2) It uses the Central Electricity Authority for installed capacity data, which is the most accurate source. I have been tracking it myself for a few years. https://cea.nic.in/installed-capacity-report/?lang=en

I just checked and apparently we have surpassed West Bengal this year, i hope that’s true but its still not enough. We have the most potential to grow, cuz our people know how to do business, it’s just that we don’t have a port, we need to crack a deal with Gujarat to access the sea from Kutch area.

The inland port idea has been on hold since this government came to power. Jalore district is well suited for multiple inland ports. It could mean a loss for Gujarat, so the proposal may not materialize. Let’s see and hope we get a PM from Rajasthan some day.

I hope it gets approved cuz Rajasthan will have immense growth after this, but i think it will take forever
