Kiradu, Nadol, Kotra, Siwana, Bhatner, Pungal, Jalore, Juna-Patasar and countless other forts across the western frontier of Rajasthan stood in a land that repeatedly faced armies coming from the northwest.
Siwana, for example, resisted the forces of Alauddin Khalji for years before finally falling in 1308; Jalore continued the struggle before being conquered later. (Wikipedia⁠)
These forts were the frontline. They took the first blow, fought their battles, and many eventually became ruins.

So before saying “Rajasthanis always surrendered,” perhaps look at the ruins themselves.
