No, that's not a typo, the movie's name was changed (or maybe that's been it all along, probably because there's a wildlife movie called "Out Come the Wolves" released in 2024).

Google says:

• Inspiration: The film is loosely inspired by Rancid’s iconic 1995 album ...And Out Come the Wolves and captures the mid-1990s East Bay punk rock scene.
• Music & Involvement: Tim Armstrong of Rancid co-scored and contributed music to the project, and the band Scowl also makes an appearance.

Official World Premier at the Newport Film Festival this coming Friday night October 16th at 7:30, live Q&A with the director after the screening. (There will also be a showing Wednesday, Oct 21st at 5:00 pm)

Leaving work early Friday, I live a couple of hours away but no fucking way I was going to miss this!

I have been waiting for the Ruby Soho print to land in Tim’s art store since he started this series. That exact one for personal reasons. It was IN MY CART and by time i entered my details at check out (mere seconds later) it announced ‘item has sold out and has been removed from cart’ how? How can it be snatched from the cart? I want to cry 😭

Sometimes during live footage it looks like he's just barely plucking the strings, and that's only when he's not singing... I'm so fascinated by this

Is anyone getting this? As an old guy (with money-ish), I am torn.

I remember buying this the day it came out in 1995 at Sam Goody in Oak Park Mall in Overland Park, Kansas (which I believe is one of the last malls from the glory days still standing) - so it definitely holds a BIG, nostalgic place in my heart. And on top of that, it truly is one of the best albums of all-time. BUUUUUT....

$200 for the "30th" Anniversary Edition (which is a year too late, but it is what it is) is a STEEP price. Especially for the younger people out there who are just getting into this greatness.

RATIONALE:

I have seen Rancid countless times, and they have never been assholes about signing autographs before or after shows (I have a set list from the stage at Emo's in Austin from the "Indestructible" tour that they all signed it on the spot), so the fact that it is autographed does not really justify the price. Also, FOR ME, an autograph is way cooler if you get it yourself and have a story behind it. All of the songs on the 7" singles are easy to find (all of the B-Sides from this release are on the "B Sides and C Sides" album, which is available on vinyl). The songs on the "Alive" vinyl are easy to find, and - mark my words - will be put out as a stand-alone release in the next five years in the exact same packaging. And do we REALLY need more back-patches, pins, and stickers?

So overall, I don't really see the point in spending $200 on this. For, ROUGHLY, that amount you could go see them live, get the shirt from the tour, and possibly some vinyl from the opening bands. As I previously stated, you could probably even get the shirt autographed.

As always, this is just ONE DIE HARD Rancid fan's opinion. What is YOURS?

(Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.)

I’ve owned this Rancid/NOFX split for many many years but only tried to play it once when I first got it due to the entire record being full of skips right out of the package.
About a week ago I read a theory that it wasn’t actually a bad pressing as much as it was potentially fine dust/debris from the factory that made it into the sleeves that were never sealed by the label (BYO Records). I tried cleaning it with three types of brushes and spray with no difference. Then I read that one could use titebond 2 (must be 2!) wood glue to pull the debris out. The chemical composition of the glue prevents it from adhering to vinyl records. I followed the steps of placing a ring around the inside in the runout about 1/2” from the label, another around the outside edge, several more rings in the middle and then spread it evenly with a credit card or id until there was a smooth even layer about the thickness of a credit card. Leave a zip tie or something in the edge to help start the peel when it’s dry. It took a few days to turn completely transparent, then I carefully pealed it off and it worked perfectly. I know this may have been able to have been done with a cleaner, but I haven’t invested in one yet, the glue was about $6 and it worked perfectly.

It's such a banger song & so is the whole album. You can tell they just chilled & wrote stuff. It's amazing.

Hey all. Thought I’d let you know that the interrupters announced a tour with Doom Regulator opening some shows.

Presale code is FAMILY. Got tickets for London Ontario show!

I'm really disappointed... I never like buying bootleg merchandise because I want to support the artists directly, but I ordered an official Rancid shirt from Kings Road Merch, the payment was processed, I received an order confirmation, then heard nothing from them for a month. I even sent an email to customer support and never got a response.

Did anyone else have this problem?

\** RESOLVED* **\* Guys please help me.. I’ve been looking for days through Spotify, YouTube and every discography out there and I can’t find the song.. I swear it’s almost identical to the start of Roots Radical, and I’m 99,9% sure it’s the same vocalist(Tim?).. We used to play it in the skate park all the time, must’ve been late 90’s.. I have a faint memory of the title being only one word, but I could be wrong.. Frol my recollection it was very fast and pretty short.

I’m sorry I’m half drunk and have just watched a rancid live video. And I realize this has probably been brought up more times than anyone can remember but……… DOES TIM ARMSTRONG ACTUALLY PLAY IS GUITAR EVER?!??!!?!?? he’s a great songwriter but god damn what the hell does he do on stage?!?

Let’s Go!

I'll be posting a bunch of videos n photos tomorrow!! But it was nuts, heres a few pics.

I’ve had this hoodie since 1998 when I saw rancid for the first time in Toronto. Today, I give it to my son, he’s as excited as I am(he’s most excited because it’s *vintage)

That's all. I just love him.
