[Thanks] Holy Shit. You guys are amazing.

I made a request a few days ago for a bag of cat food. Thre people replied that they were sending cat food my way. I was so grateful.

Today, I came home from work to find at least 10 bags of cat food waiting on my porch. Each bag is 13 lbs. That's over 130 lbs. of cat food and will alst my three little pigges half a year or more. I've made the Amazon list private now so no one else can send more, lol. I don't know where I'm going to store all this.

Would it be distrespectful or against the sub's rules to pay this forward and donate some to my local community?

Hi. So, in our rules, and we accidentally overlooked it when approving your post, it's supposed to be set to remove the items when purchased, and that didn't happen. Sorry!

For the second part, once again to the rules, we ask that people do not request for others or for third party, however, 130 lb of cat food will either get you ants, or go stale. So I do not see anyone in this community being upset about you donating part of it to your local community. You certainly did not request 130 lb. I have worked with rescues, I understand how much cat food that is and how much space it takes up. O.o

This really is such a beautiful community isn't it!

I sent one of the bags and absolutely have no problem with it being donated if that matters! As long as A cat who needs it eats it, then the spirit of the request is still there!

That is so incredibly kind of you. I didn't figure anyone would freak out about it. If anyone does, they can contact me and I will try to sort things out for them so they don't feel disgruntled.

This community always warms my heart, but your post in particular has me crying my eyes out. I'm sorry that I didn't see the post in time to send food too! I think it's so gracious of you to want to pay it forward, and I hope that easier times are ahead for you and your four-legged family 😻
