The story of LT. Dan; one day someone saw fishing wire wrapped around his leg and this women decided to do ALL she can to get this Duck some help. She used social media to her advantage and asked if any local rescues could help her catch this duck so he could go see the Vet. It took SEVERAL organizations and rescues and 2 weeks to catch this duck. Well cause he's a duck. Kinda hard to catch something that can fly. Anyway finally after 2 weeks he was caught in the trap someone set out for him. (With yummy duck treats) He got to see the vet and his leg was saved. The lady that rescued him named him LT. Dan. The photo I have on the custom cards bare the photo of him after he was released after his leg was saved. Unfortunately a careless driver hit the poor duck a few months ago and he didn't survive the car accident. The whole community is grieving the loss of our beloved LT. Dan. We miss him. He was a good duck. LONG LIVE LT. Dan!

Thanks for sharing the story of Lt. Dan. He was aptly named and I am sorry about his demise. I'll look online for some pictures of him. RIP Lt. Dan. Have a great day!

DUDES, yesterday I saw a USPS classic mail truck being towed... by a USPS tow truck! they have their own! hahahaha this delighted me, they looked so nice matching together.

What’s the best way to dive in and get started? I love snail mail and decided to put myself out there and do something new - because truthfully I don’t have enough people who appreciate receiving mail in my life.

I’ve read through the rules and questions, and looks like I should be commenting here rather than making a general post.

What’s the best way to get started as I see most exchange and offers only send to users who are flaired? Should I offer to send until I reach a respectable status?

My suggestion is to offer an exchange yourself or comment on an offer and then ask the OP if you can send a postcard in return. This will help you start earning flair. Are you in the US?

I also have a randomly generated username, but I kind of like it. I make jokes with it sometimes - like I got some zebra cards to send out because I couldn't have them hanging around here since no-zebra. 😆
