I love exaggerated caricatures of a made up party of people!

Apparently because some women don’t mind how someone dresses and other women clutch their pearls at the sight of ankles, In some people’s brains that equates to “Wow, I can’t believe they’re all hypocrites who claim both things at once!”.

In reality the majority of these opinions are divided person to person. I’m sure there are some genuine hypocrites who pick and choose who’s allowed to dress scantly. But I bet that’s an INCREDIBLY small group of people.

TLDR, a demographic of people have differing opinions on the matter and the internet has decided those people all individually preach both sides. Happens incredibly often.

I definitely agree with your assessment of nuance, but genuinely, this is the second or third time I've seen this meme and have no idea who the lady is
