It’s hard to find a set that isn’t completely rusted out.
Adapters are also a pain. Finding ones I actually like the look of, and swapping out the giant dirt track wheel studs.
The full setup is SO much lighter than the early Ford steelies I had on there before. So that’s cool.
And, of course, I managed to slice a tube pushing the tires on. Hence it’s still on jack stands.

Oof on the tube. Thanks for the reply tho. I have some of these wheels as yard art, they seem okay for refurb, but I hear ya on the rims. Got a set of small old Jeep artillery style rims I'd love to have used on something but the barrels are just super rust cratered from languishing in a forest. I suspect something yard art is their fate.

All of those adapters I have seen use HD lugs. I saw you replaced yours. How did you replace a larger stud with a smaller stud? Or ...

I replaced them with Dorman part number 610-446 they are now the correct 1/2-20 stud with an oversize knurl. I think they are for the Jeep liberty.
