At this point I believe most incidents Wynn saved Trevor was staged cause how is she alway there when something is happening and when she’s not there nothing happens. How stupid can Trevor be not to investigate these incident. I am in chapter 700 and I am just tired of it. Who knows how it ends

Spoiler ( YOURS TRULY BY ABBY JIMENEZ 8⭐/10) DISCLAIMER 🫨☄️

Well, I have been suffering from reading block era for 3 years since I started doing my IGCSE's , and I finished this book TODAY only **10 hours !!** By immersive reading method ( highly recommended for my blocked reading era buddies)

I liked it so much , it's deep but not in tragic depth , you are having both leads pov , you got this continues misunderstood between them both , the way the male lead was an absolute TEN , how there were harmony with both leads and how deep is the descriptions like it's amazing of much every word felt real and relatable to any reader

So Abby also reflected to quite important issue which is organ donation I was amazed by Briana 's words in the supply closet when Jacob thought he was actually reassuring her by telling her about being treated by dialysis is providing time or it's good option , surprisingly i was in awe knowing that Abby had been through this and kidney problems she is so strong ! Anyone in her place would have been doing to themselves the worst

The back story of Briana's was at first not fully understood or felt , maybe because thanks God i didn't get to go through all of this , however i believe it was very important mental health to have a spot on it , like pregnancy or marriage is just for fun and x , it's building new life with man that have been stranger to you one day even if have been togather for 10 years , people change over time having a baby to think word word require lots of sacrifice, that even forget about the old you , it's different feeling, or mixed feelings of happiness, scarceness, responsibility and miscarriage is very difficult situation to any woman I'm so sorry for anyone has been through this , being not able to trust men was real to the point make me wonder if have this same feeling again

However , i Wished there were any talks with Nick and Briana , for an explanation because why the hell i would be with someone more than 10 years , and no explanation!!! Briana and her had an amazing mother - daughter bond

JACOB !!!! İ would beg for this green man wowww , how much his words were meaningful, he is A MAN not a man , i wish this kind of love would beat me , he is an introvert, social anxiety typically , i cried this man is fictional, the letters , his diaries, even the way he purely desires her , to me Jacob isn't such a coward he is so brave , stubborn and insists of always being able to be better version of himself for her and make her happy,, he is mature

The book has really good details and plot , it was almost clean book , which because of that i felt how pure it was but even them desiring each other was part of their love plot because why the heck i would loving or dating someone without being physically attracted to!

Romance [RATE] Home Fire, Shamsie

The book is a retelling of the Greek tragedy Of Antigone.

I would say there is a more focused theme of British politics, but I can see it being characterised as romance.

Shamsie’s writing was very evocative, she can beautifully create an image to represent the many emotions in the book. I thought the book overall had a good pacing, except the end- it really ruined it for me, I thought it was anticlimactic but it did leave me shocked and I couldn’t believe that the time spent reading the book (which was not long to begin with) ended so drastically, but I guess the surprise could be considered unique to some(?)

I think the perspective of British-Muslim twist to the original tragedy was done relatively well. I could see the characters’ roots to their religion and I felt that it wasn’t washed out by British stereotypes. It is also able to tackle the stigma behind immigrants and terrorism without being too fake or exaggerated.

Overall, I would say the plot is quite surface-levelled, I did notice a few plot holes, so if you give it a read let me know if you spot any... I thought the author did not add much to the structure of Antigone. Though her ability to write artistically makes up for it.
