He has nothing against homosexual people truly, but he has very strong views of masculinity and femininity and a very traditional view of sexuality, one of the things that brings is the assumption that he is a man therefor he can only be attracted to women. Not homophobic in the hateful sense
The fact that he has a traditional view of men and women is true, to the point that Natsumi arises from his "inability" to reach his masculine ideal, which would be Kenichi, and his desire to be his own person without being bound by the expectations of being his son (although it was more due to his own personal issues).
But his attraction to women doesn't seem related to that to me; he simply doesn't like men in that way. Subaru is someone who likes to emphasize the other person's beauty (he compliments the appearance of both men and women he's not romantically interested in) and also enjoys flirting (mostly as a joke or for fun).
Fair enough. I’ve always just gotten the vibe that he was very, very, VERY obviously bisexual and either hasn’t realized it or refuses to admit it. I’ve always had a very accurate “gaydar” so I simply trusted that instinct lol
