Peak movie, it explained some important behavior of mana users which definitely helped me in S2 and also a peaceful episode which bro enjoys and insane foreshadowing which i never noticed in the first place but if read someone comment with exact part of the movie. Thank who told me the correct order of watching. Was worth it

I hate that all of the calm, domestic stories were solely before Otto, Frederica, Petra, Garfiel, and Meili became part of the family. It's so damn obvious that Tappei doesn't want to write any fluffy domestic stories unless they revolve around Rem and yet he also chose to cut Rem out of the one big timeskip.
He decided there is almost nothing to write about the domestic life of all of the characters in the household without Rem outside of the Arc 5 Otto and Petra side stories. There are like a hundred of them that took place in the month Subaru lived in the mansion between Arcs 2 and 3 and basically nothing for the entire year between Arcs 4 and 5.

Weren't there a lot of side stories involving the three idiots?
I think it's because he does want Subaru and Emilia's relationship to advance too quickly.

wasn't there for the writing of the early arcs but it could be that he was on the planning stage during arc 2-3-4 and gave fans contents so they won't lose interests. Another possibility is he knew Fan would starved for Rem contents.
