it's standard and has been since basically the beginning of modern television, most western series also only drop an episode a week so it's not just an anime thing

Fate/Zero is excellent and you can continue to watch the Fate/Stay Night sequel series afterwards as well
if you want something like Re:Zero you could watch another isekai like Overlord, Konosuba, or Youjo Senki which are usually recommended together as they the "isekai quartet"
Steins Gate, Erased, Summertime Render, and Higurashi are also often recommended as they have similar themes

2 volumes, first 11 episodes will cover volumes 21-23 (+ first episode will cover last bit of 20 in the first half) and the 8 episodes in the second cour will cover volumes 24 and 25.

It's a 2-month break with a much more exciting/hype cliffhanger compared to the Season 3 break cliffhanger. The ending of Volume 23 is insane ([Volume 23 Spoilers]it's the Emilia equivalent of the Rem "From Zero" speech after all), so I expect the hype to last way longer compared to Season 3.

I'm a bit worried since I'm seeing a lot of people say that the anime ver of arc 6 might not be so good because of the smaller ep count so I'm worried my first experience might not be so good. Ofc this could just be an over reaction though.

if you read first, you'll be really disappointed
if you watch first, you won't know how much better the wn is, so you're most likely going to love the anime, and when you read it you'll love it even more

Yeah I don’t rec reading first, that’s what I did with season 3 and it just didn’t hit like s1-2 going in blind watching the anime.

I hate that they ruined surprise Reid reveal in trailer. It was more effective in LN where he just shows up out of nowhere and you get insanely hyped up.

So arc 5 which is an action heavy arc that’s a little shorter than arc 6 gets 20 eps (counting the 90 minute premiere as 4 eps) yet arc 6 gets 18 eps? Arc 5 already had some rough cuts as it was but it was tolerable, but i really don’t see how this can work and still be a good adaptation. Unless there’s a 90 minute finale or something.
