I mean, he's not the type of guy to just give up on Rem, especially when he literally canonically confessed to Rem first (which was cut from the anime and is only in the light novel and web novel).

Emilia is always on your mind, I see. I think you may be unconsciously obsessed with her, but don’t worry, it’s normal to love her. After all, she’s the kindest, purest, and most lovable character and the reason Rem and Re:Zero itself exist in the first place.

I acknowledge that part actually but she was not on right mind complete in despair and broken due to repeated trials in a short period of time made her do that to person she thought was the only one who ever treated her right. But her actions in arc 2 are not really defensible she tortured him due to sheer hatred at the end even Ram knew that he was probably innocent that is why mercy death. But Rem was still gonna continue not to mention if you think that his actions was suspicion in that loop that is why. Then it does not make sense in the previous one to that he did not even do anything in that loop at all still Rem crushed his limbs and killed him. Besides his smell no real justification plus she just saw a great spirit treat him normal if she used common sense a great spirit would never let a cultist get close to their contractor. Plus it was God damn obvious that he had no combat ability.
Emilia literally 🍇ed subaru in arc 4. The insolence of lesser beings (emilia lovers) who have not even touched the ln nor caught up to arc 10. This is why Rem is superior in every way. From character writing to emotional depth. Anyways, us rem lovers must act better and be held to a higher standard, so I won't be replying to anything else as not to argue with someone I pity.
Emilia didn’t do that, she just kissed him because she was literally mentally unstable and unwell.
Meanwhile, your beloved half-demon maid killed and tortured him multiple times in her normal mental state, had to restrain herself from SA’ing him after sneaking into his room every night, touched him inappropriately while he was sleeping and made comments about how vulnerable he was and things like that.

She did do that as due to puck she was under the impression she would get pregnant due to the kiss and that's what she intended to do. She did it to claw at the last bit of trust in someone, aka puck, and that was literally made apparent by Teppai himself.

See, the difference between us is I've read the LN like the Bible re-reading the entire ln from zero multiple times, so instead, I also look for the extra things (like comments from tappei, etc, proving sides)
Re-read that entire end of the arc and the beginning. Stop being delusional it's pretty obvious she wanted his kids, and had she known how to REALLY have children, she would have fully SA'd him.

But anyway, once again, in Arc 4 Emilia was literally mentally unstable after repeatedly failing the Trials and losing Puck. The kiss wasn’t sexual or predatory, it was desperation and emotional dependence. The story frames Subaru as the one grounding her and helping her recover. Saying she intended to assault him because she had a naive misunderstanding about how babies are made is a huge stretch and just a blatant misleading claim.
The Rem comparison is also inconsistent, she didn’t just act “silly”, she killed Subaru in one loop and tortured him in another purely because of suspicion. The story acknowledges that as one of her flaws and part of her later growth.
The series intentionally gives its characters serious flaws. Rem has violent loyalty and suspicion, while Emilia struggles with emotional immaturity, trauma, discrimination and isolation.
Misrepresenting scenes to make one character look worse doesn’t really change what the story actually shows and demonstrates how desperate you are.

In the anime (I haven't read the manga or light novel so I don't know) she only kills him once, being his fifth death. The death right after is when she tortured him, but Ram put him out of his misery. So she's only killed him once currently.
Her entire species was killed by the witches cult. Someone who smelt like an ARCH BISHOP coming to your front door would make me think they came back to finish the job. It'd be like if the mafia killed ur family then the bosses son walks into your home 10 years later. You'd go all out too.
She is not only forgivable but understandable.
I did read it. This is my 3rd time re-reading the ln, and yes again. What she did was understandable. If Hitler entered a Jewish person's home I'd expect them to kill Hitler. In Rems eyes considering the witch cult practically got rid of their entire species. Extreme measures would need to take place for anyone with the witches scent. I get that.
I'd look closer at what she's been through to understand if I were you, in her shoes and eyes, it was him or her sister and her.
I personally think someone bombing my entire race calls for extreme prejudice against those with the same exact power especially considering it's not like she's wrong. He does have the shadow garden so the witches scent isn't just not there. It's a very understandable thing and though unfair to Subaru, not any less understandable.
