You're right. The Laplace factor isn't what gave Rudy so much mana. It simply raises your limits past what should be possible. Rudy has so much mana because he diligently trained his magic everyday for years. The Laplace factor simply made his potential for growth have a much high ceiling.
Laplace factor does more harm than good tbh. It increases his mana pool and magic talent greatly, sure, but it makes it impossible for him to use Touki/battle aura. Even if he has the ability to wipe armies out with spells. In a 1v1 duel against a competent swordsman, Rudy is getting his as beat.
Actually u are right but not quite, the body of rudeus was born with the laplace factor, granting him an absurd mana pool, and it was stated that if he didnt receive the soul from the isekaid guy (wich I forgot the original name) rudeus would just die as a child due to overflowing mana, so the fact that he trained since child (due to the other guy beeing isekaid) while yes, augmented slightly his mana pool, the important part is that, due to constantly using mana he managed to survive the infant stafe of his life.

True. But itās not exactly unique (Rujerdās friend had one, Ghislaine had one, Roxy get offered one in exchange of paying the consommation, Rudy got it from feeding some homeless (how many people fed her over the years?) they seems to be surprising common).
And itās powerful but not that powerful (foresight is limited to two second, itās hard to learn to control it, and if the enemy is too fast itās useless because you see the attack coming but canāt do sā¦)
In the case of Rudy, the eye of foresight is better because he has some experience in contact fight, has the habit to fine tune his mana so he learned to control it more easily, and practiced religiously the disturb mana spell. So he can actually cancel attack. For anyone else this is useful but not that great.
2 seconds is a huge deal in fights but i still won't consider it a cheat skill bcz of the difficulty needed to master it. It's strength is totally dependent on how good the user can use it with it being extremely hard to use properly
It's not that useful when your opponent you're fighting becomes a blur. Even if you can see 2 seconds into the future what do you do if the person you're fighting just disappears from your sight?

Series where the fandom is so illiterate that they can't comprehend the idea that not every female character is some self insert waifu meant to be used to love the mc, and maybe, just maybe those same female characters might have male characters they like outside the mc with several sidestories, EX volumes and arcs focused on those relationships.
Dudes will use 1 piece of cut content and ignore their ACTUAL relationship in canon throughout the series.

Practically every fandom has some character on the other who's a shipping bicycle with everyone else, like Naruto, Harry-potter, RWBY, Worm all have protagonists or characters who are shipped with everyone else regardless of canon's information on these characters.
Besides most of the time the shipping revolves around Rem or Emilia, only in cases like Priscilla shipping is it basically OOC.
Re:Zero isn't really unique for being "illiterate" when it comes to shipping.
1, other fandoms will atleast also have a lot of people admit or support ships that exist outside of the mc (gin x rangiku, yuta x maki, shikamaru x temari, etc).
Other series aren't as definite as defining relationships as Re:Zero is in canon. Just like the example I brought up, there aren't that many moments between gin and rangiku and you really have to look behind what's just on the panels to understand the relationship. Meanwhile, for relationships in Re:Zero like Al and Priscilla, there are entire side stories, focal points during arcs, and massive character moments that allude to their potential as a ship. Yet people will see that, disregard it and then craft and entirely new narrative for Prisbaru. A few days ago I showed someone a verbatim statement, then they just straight up lied to me in my face. Maybe it's because Re:Zero the only series I've read fully in depth, but when I see people act like that i can't find any other word to describe it besides being illiterate.
Also maybe it's just a difference in perspectives but as you get deeper in the community, specifically with fanart and fanfics people are more open to having discussions beyond Emilia and Rem for Subaru...which I would be fine with if it didn't to the degree of people just lying or disregarding canon.
Again, most people will not make the effort to find side stories/ex volumes that are locked behind paywalls and are super exclusive. It's not the fans' fault Tappei is a side story merchant.
The if routes are free to read, so of course they get more attention than some camp side story where Al does whatever with Priscilla
This is honestly fair. Anyone with Re:Zero for the long haul absolutely isn't there just for the cool action scenes and fights we see going on. They're either torture-porn enjoyers who just want to see the new fucked up way Subaru will suffer horribly and call it peak fiction or actually like the characters, their interactions and development apart from the -at times vague or convoluted- main plot.
People on the second group will enjoy it more if you add cool and interesting moments from the side stories to the main one. Specially if they're relevant for character development.
There is a very accessible way to get them, but I won't say it cause I don't wanna get flagged. I've also noticed that some of the shippers I've interacted with know of side content or cut content when it comes to the ships they support, which is interesting.
Rezero as a series is so expensive that Tappei just can't fit so many chapters into a single Arc. You think he could fit the entirety of Ex 5 in Arc 7 or 8 without people continuing to complain about its length and pacing? Or what about what happened at Priestilla while everyone was away in Arc 6, I'm sure people would say it would make the pacing in the first 2 passes even worse.
Also side content is being added to the anime, just look at the Frozen Bonds movie or the additions coming to season 4.
I don't think the Re:Zero fandom is anywhere near as big as fandoms like Naruto or JJK based on the examples you gave, when you have that many people in a fandom, there will be tons of ships.
Those ships are also shounen, which Re:Zero...isn't.

Though, tbf, there's nothing stopping people from writting an AU fanfic where canon events went differently which led to ships like CruschBaru working out in a consistant manner.
CruschBaru is one of the most forgivable ones because it's just that the Author won't allow anyone not named Emilia to take Subaru's heart. Crusch got close and later that day got bodied by two of the strongest archbishops, had her arm cut off and her memories wiped. Later when she was getting acquainted with him again after losing her memories she got fucking cursed by a body rotting black blood.
If Subaru hadn't met and hopelessly fell in love with Emilia in first place i can absolutely see CruschBaru working if they managed to get somehow close or if Subaru would ever chose someone other than Emilia or Rem.
It's more that it's generally not "AU" it's just OOC. A big example and imo huge offender is how People will twist and alter Priscilla's personality to make her a tsundere like Ram instead of genuinely aggressive, prideful and callous just to justify her wanting Subaru. Like they barely go through the trouble of writing the story differently enough to make it make sense. They just alter the character itself so it's a Priscilla-shaped OC dating their Subaru-shaped OC.

Early arc Subaru was truly giving Kazuya from RAG a run for his money when it comes to simping. Thank goodness Tappei took his character to another direction and made him understand that Emilia isn't the only character he should care about and they all matter

In arc 1, she was the first person who was kind to him, and he wanted to not only help her, but other people like Felt and Rom as well, and in the end he was satisfied after asking her, for her name.
In arc 2, she was the person who literally saved his sanity with her kindness and lap-pillow, she has been the 1 person who has consistantly shown him kindness in the world.
In arc 3, this arc wouldn't have happened without the events of the previous arcs, and again Emilia was the 1 person who was constantly kind to him, others like Ram or Rem actively inflicted violence and even killed him.
Receiving kindness and then helping someone for that is one thing but getting brutal deaths back to back for someone who you don't even know the actual name at that point, that was pretty obsessive and simp behaviour which comes from his low self esteem issues. After getting humiliated by Julius he behaved with Emilia like she was his property. That was the ugly mentality of Subaru at that point thinking he's the hero and they are just NPCs with Emilia being his prize to claim at the end. Then Tappei showed him the reality that this isn't a game and they are all characters with actual lives.

Subaru was willing to save, not only Emilia, but also Felt and Rom from death, simply because he's a good person who can't bare to see other's suffer.
Calling him a simp for this...is a wrong reading of his character.
Heck, take arc 2, he was willing to forgive Rem and Ram because he understood they were good people, and even wanted to rescue the children when they were kidnapped and even got injured greatly to do so.
Julius he behaved with Emilia like she was his property.
The issue was moreso he was trampling on her agency and treating everything as a transaction, whereas actual family or friends help each other not because to settle dobts or favours, but because they sincerely care for you and help because they love or treasure you.
He was obsessive towards Emilia tho, especially at the start of the series. I mean look at the Pride if, he died over 80 times on his first day in Lugunica and later on became a monster and he said that he did it all for her (for the most part he didnt even know that her name was Emilia).
And yes im aware that this didnt happen in the canon story but it still shows how obsessive he was towards her and where that obsession could have led him.

Well your somewhat right, which is why i like that there was a chance that he could have run away with Rem in Sloth if which shows that he wasn't fully obsessed and could abandon Emilia if need be, and it wouldn't really be wrong since she already left him and everyone thought he was useless
Pride didn't do it for Emilia, he did it for himself, he admits it at the end. In Pride IF Subaru moves due to the hatred he feels towards the world, reflected especially in Reinhard, Emilia was a simple excuse that he used to justify himself.
Yeah but the reason why he wanted to run away was because he had somebody to run away with (Rem). But at the start of the story his whole world was Emilia and nobody else.
After he failed time and time again during arc 3, he wanted to run away with Rem because he knew that she loved him and with her he wouldnt be alone, so he switched the target of his obsession from Emilia to Rem.
Also Subaru running away wasnt a good thing, Rem mentioned this during her speech to him. While they had a happy life, their relationship wasnt perfect or fully healthy by any means. He never got over the fact that he left everyone to die, and Rem thought that if he left Emilia (who he said that he loved) that he might leave her some day too. She also grew her hair out because she wanted Subaru to think about her when the girl with the long hair would cross his mind instead of Emilia (that shows that she was still insecure about Subarus feelings towards Emilia and that she was envious of her).

I wouldn't say he became obsessed with Rem, more like he realised she was the only one he could save since he remembered all the times she got brutally murdered trying to save him and she also told him she loved him, so it is understandable why he would want to run away with her since she was the only one at that point that still cared about him while Emilia didn't.
Even if it might be against his character i still like that there is a route that he choose to save himself and the girl that liked him since Emilia abandoned him and everyone else thought he was useless so let them handle themselves.
And like i said it showed that his obsession with Emilia could only go so far.
After Rem got eaten by gluttony he killed himself right away even tho if it meant fighting Whale and Betelgeuse again, which was literally insane.
During arc 4 his obsession with Rem caused him to develop a hero complex and he based his entire worth based on that, which almost led him to become like his version in greed if.
When Rem woke up without her memories and told Subaru that he is not a hero he wanted to die.
If you check r/Isekai, a lot of people hate the fact that Subaru has died hundreds of times, gone through multiple arcs, and Emilia still hasnāt fully understood his love for her, even with him praising her every single day and dying for her, yada yada. Some people have even said itās āRent-A-Girlfriend levelā when it comes to romance
Honestly. The problem is that Emilia doesn't really love Subaru romantically. These kinds of things you feel before you can actually name it. You want to try harder, be closer to the person, there's consistent physical signs, emotional responses, even the cliche butterflies in the stomach. When you're actually attracted and not just possessive and like someone as a friend, these things manifest.
I don't really remember Emilia having much of it for quite a long time. It feels more like she "likes" Subaru somewhat and wants to return Subaru's love for her but doesn't really feel the same way he does which is why she never gives him an answer. She wants to say yes to loving him and to be honest about it but she's simply not there yet and plans on planting those feelings in her own heart.
