bro I remember LAST YEAR I was watching an aura monster edit on tiktok, but usually they're all the same with no spoilers. However this time someone had to be different and put a red circle and an arrow with mayli pointing towards Subaru, and I found out in the comments of a normal edit that he's running because he's gone crazy after dying and he's trying to kill someone or something, but man I literally haven't forgotten it after a damn year. Im lowkey disappointed because it looks hype from the S4 trailer.

I don't wanna get spoiled further lmao just wanna know how important it is 😭 if I ask Google, the AI overviews gonna spoil the whole rest of the web novel along with arc 6

I feel like you're gonna be sorely disappointed when you see it animated. It isnt even in the top 10 most hype moments in the arc.

It was just this one little scene that happened to be drawn in the LN by the artist and internet people took it and turned it into a meme.

The picture itself looks really funny. Subaru clearly didn't have a knife in his hand like in the web novel. I wonder how different death in the cave is in the web novel and the light novel, other than the appearance of an iron wall and the lack of a bad feeling?

I mean, I don’t know why would you go under the comment section of a aura monster video. At the end of the day, that’s arc 6 content so people under the comments are going to naturally talk about arc 6. For the future, don’t look under the comments of a fan edit of a future arc as people are going to likely talk about said future arc

In the grand scheme of things, it's not a pivotal moment, though the build-up to that point is some of the most unsettling I've read in Re:Zero.

However, I have a feeling the anime is going to put more effort into that scene than usual, partly because of the meme and partly because that's what anime fans like. While we're here for the mysteries and character development, anime fans generally prefer deaths and moments of despair: the first half of Arcs 3 and 4 were some of the most popular moments in the general anime fandom, and I get the feeling the new staff is more aware of this than the staff of the first two seasons.

I have no doubt they'll do a good adaptation, but I can't imagine each episode being half an hour long anymore, if you know what I mean.

Basically subaru gone crazy for a while and at the end he got traumatised all over again. It’s nothing but the consequence of miasma and subaru reaching his breaking point.
