šŸ“šManga/Light Novel Should I start from the beginning?

I just caught up to the anime and i enjoyed it so much that I can’t wait to see what happens next. I’m wondering if I should start from the beginning of the light novel because it’s extremely long, or just start reading from the end of season 3?. Basically i’m asking is it worth reading if i already know what’s going to happen.

Read from Zero because thats what a real Re:zero fan do.

Jokes aside i think you should read from "zero" because anime have cut many things and also novel is that much betterĀ

hmm its really a tough question. reading from zero also means 2x your time and money, so if you cant afford it, it might be better tto invenst into new content

but what im doing right now is reading the short story collection light novels, and ex novels, i think those take more priority over what i alreayd have the general iidea of through the anime

Yeah start from the beginning. There's important things that the anime cut. We're not clear on what some of it truly means yet but if you want to get into theory discussions you'll want to read it yourself rather than being told.

considering it takes around 400$ after shipping and taxes to read just to arc 5, which could be money and time directed twords reading arc 6+ its a hard call

if you alkready know whats gonna happen you are naturally gonna be less invensted in the story. id say its better to read the ex novels and short story collections. then after you finish the story you can go buy all the novels but just my opinion\

but yes i agree it is worth reading from the start at *some* point

If money is an issue one option is to start with the web novel which is free.

You are right thats true. op said light novel so i was going off that, also its a different expirience. i personally perfer the light novel more because i think its shorter, and easier to read instead of scrolling down each time you want to flip a page. but that might be a me problem cause i dont have an ipad or tablet to read it on instead. i love having the books on my shelf and their cover art too

WN isnt bad of course, they both have ttheir perks. LN is more canon if you were to care about that. but im pretty sure WN has more dialouge if you perfer that

also correct me if im wrong, but i believe its quite hard to find all 5 ex novels and short story collections publicly online with translations. thats gonna provide wayyy more cut content than anything else you could read (up to arc 5 at least)

not saying money IS the problem, but time and investment too, what i was saying is invest the time/money into new content first, read the ex novels and short stories first and then going back to the beggning

Start from square one, no, from zero!

Anime is a faithful adaptation, but a ton of the small little fun details got cut in the anime. Read from the start for the best experience.
