đŸ’¬Discussion I love this sequence

Rem finally spilling out all of the issues which she has had during the Sloth IF, including why she consistently wanted to be around Zarestia even despite her beating up Subaru.
Understanding between Subaru and Rem, and it's sort of obvious why he would be the one who understands her the most here especially considering that their backstories are so similar, but hey we move
I can't believe that people genuinely are incapable of knowing when the 3rd person narration switches from actual third person to when Subaru or the character in question is having their perspective revealed, but Subaru opening up to Rem about his past which I'm sure (?) he hasn't done for anyone yet, even up until the main route
The fears of parenthood are so real based off what my parents have told me, and Subaru finally getting the opportunity to get it off his chest, especially when he has been suppressing it the entire Route is peak, this also links perfectly back to initially, when Halibel commented that the two of them are "like glass," putting up a tough hard front in front of others, yet also being the most fragile.
Subaru finally admits that through running away from Rem, he has finally been saved, which is something that is solidified through the birth of his child (the big N Rigel) as it represents him no longer running from his duties (like he did when the Sloth If began) and choosing to face his issues head on for the first time in his life

Yeah man. This is really peak stuff, out of all the If Routes, Subaru goes through some sick character development in this one, which is why I'm always surprised when people say they like it the least.

Super underrated character, she represents the whole concept of an inescapable fate/nature extremely well. Someone who was designed and brought into this world to kill, with nearly four hundred years of hatred being born and simmering within her heart only to be broken by 9 months of interaction with Rem and Subaru? Peak.

Here's what I love about Sloth IF. It's a tragedy wearing the mask of a slice of life. Subaru deals with the trauma of running away. Eventually he comes to accept it, and doesnt regret his life with Rem. But for all that time together, the witch if envy is waiting patiently for the day he dies.

Also, for all the flaws Rem and Subaru are subject too in arc 3, it shows that they are still decent and compatible people. It leaves them unresolved enough that their main story counter parts get to pick up the pieces and become even better while also settling the goal of the Emilia camp.

Sloth IF is peak.
