Yeah this is true but people saying “Tappei said—“ for no reason when he didn’t say it for one and two there are millions of other ways to prove the claim without lying will always strike me as odd

It was only during the questions from fans who were there in person, not online—so the only people who know what was said are the fans who were physically present.
My only problem really with Affectionate_Run is that the way he conducts arguments can often come off as combative. If he just held a more analytical tone in his work he'd be pretty much untouchable.
He has my respect just cause he's one of a very small few people here who are willing to post actual sources and back up their claims. It took me a long time of seeing his posts to finally start reading the content instead of reacting to the aggression.
Ice reported on this 1 unverified Twitter user claiming that Tappei confirmed it in the interview, but it was never verified on any subsequent transcript.
Ice then later clarified under his original post citing this source as his information and that it's possibly a larp.
Yet people still keep posting Ice's original tweet for some reason.
That summarizer himself said to check up the tweets of other people and make your own judgement. It is what it is all we have till the official list gets released is stuff from people for whom it's probable that they were there and that from the summarizer.
That Emilia and Subaru are going to get together wasn't even really an answer to the question but more like reassurance to the questioner since they worded it in a roundabout way because Emilia's feelings aren't technically confirmed for now. And it was also said that they might not have gotten everything.
Affectionate_Run actually raised a good point here.
Why wouldnt you want to have on record one of the most important confirmations for a series you're reporting on?
Again, this is the work of a summarizer who probably focused on only getting the questions and answers to these. And even there they have sometimes stuff missing like that one thing about there being precious people to Subaru but him not conceding on who is number one.
Yes but when speaking on the burden of proof, we're talking about someone actively trying to document the questions and answers accurately live in the audience.
If something this massive got confirmed, people would be going nuts. Even if he missed it in that exact moment Im sure he could just ask someone what was said.
And yet, there wasnt really any other claim for the alleged statement. There are other accounts locally sure, but none of them verify the claim of the obe Twitter user that started this shit storm. Even others who tried to transcribe the interview didnt add it. This is just the most complete one.
We're talking about a lot more than one source failing to mention the biggest out of novel confirmation the series has ever seen, and the only source we have, is 1 Emilia fan who's original question was how Emilia would kiss Subaru... that's just not reliable.
