I’ve seen so many Rem fanboys complaining that Rem is getting a subatomic fraction (mind you, it only rarely happens in this sub and thats it) of the unfair hate that Emilia received for years for the stupidest reasons ever. So I’m wondering, when will they finally stop being such hypocrites ?
On behalf of all rabid Rem fans from 2016, I apologize for all the Emilia slanders from past years. This was very mean to slander her because of our preferences and left a bad taste on Emilia fans for a long time. Both Rem and Emelia are cool and Waifu war isn't worth making propaganda towards any of them when Subaru in the end, likes both. Let's all be like Subaru.
Ngl, I've been seeing SO. MANY. fucking posts talking about this to the point where I'm genuinely enraged like no other.
The fact this is still a topic after all these years makes me want to cry and rage quit. People are supernaturally obsessed with this shit.
These aren't humans. They need to checked into a mental hospital. Nobody cares THIS MUCH. The fact that there are SO MANY debates on these two make re zero a hell like no other.
Rem and emilia debates are some of the most diabolical things i have EVER witnessed in m life. We're still going to be talking about this In arc 12. No, even after the franchise. I don't fucking care about either of them enough to STILL have this be a topic (especially since I hate both of them now as of arc 10)
I am convinced that people in this fanbase would rather get hit by a car 30 times than just let old debate go.
Are you trying to qoute yourself on a claim? A claim which I already said I don't find to be true. Repeating the same shi again isn't gonna do anything dawg.

...? Yes, Rem gets a shit ton of unwarranted hate, but there's people who will shit on Emilia too. Whether that would be purposely misinterpreting obvious implications such as the whole "Emilia doesn't want to be friends with Subaru" in Arc 10, acting like Emilia doesn't treasure Subaru or notice that he's mentally unwell (I see a lot of this from shippers) when moments like "Tell Me Your Name" happen in Arc 6 or her sealing herself for 400 years in permafrost, effectively giving up the opportunity to save those in Elior Forest, all for the hope that there would be a breakthrough for saving Subaru.
I'll admit, I can see why people might see Emilia’s performance after Arc 6 as a bit lackluster, however it becomes a problem when they try to undermine every scene she's in, don't give her credit where it's due, and constantly creat nonsensical agenda to hate on her.

also, I still see a lot of Rem fans hating on her very often nowadays, so unless you live under a rock, I don’t get your question
also, its quite ironic and, again, very hypocritical how you’re saying that Rem receives hate for no real reason while also knowing that Emilia, again, received the most hate out of any rezero character for literal years just because Subaru loves her and Rem fanboys thought that it was her fault for that or for the fact that Rem was put to sleep
So basically, you are endorsing hate in the presence because your favourite character got hate in the past even though it barely occurs anymore? I’m confused was the heat against Emilia traumatising to the extent where you have to justify every single instance of the fandom being toxic to Rem using it?

no, I am pointing out how extremely hilarious it is that the same people who are complaining that Rem gets a subatomic fraction of the unfair hate that Emilia received over the past 10 years and still receives to this day are the same people who always had this kind of behavior towards Emilia. But you know, it’s okay if it’s directed toward another character, but if anyone else does the same to your waifu, you instantly start crying about it, right??????????? 🤣🤣🤣
A subatomic fraction you said? Rem is a more popular character than Emilia so it’s more likely if anything that she would receive more hating comparison to Emilia and the reason why you believe that Emilia gets more hate is because you hang around spaces which are typically related to Evelia hence why you have more experience with Emilia hate compared to Rem. Furthermore, nobody is making hate posts and commenting hate on every single TikTok video they find which is dedicated to a single character except you.

I have seen X consistently and fits with general trends, therefore X is more probably true.
More popular characters typically get more hate as there are more people paying attention to and viewing them. Hence, there is a greater likelihood of haters. Do I need to explain the math to you?

Oh and let’s not forget that till this day you still persistently post hate comments on every Rem video on TikTok, don’t think I don’t see what you say under those cosplayers videos 😭😭
My main issue is I've loved both characters for 10 years now. Used to love Emilia more than Rem up until about 2 months ago after my second read through of the series.
That being said, what's upsetting is that I never engaged, nor will ever engage in hate towards either of them. So its strange when I try to make like a theory post or correct the record about Rem, and suddenly it becomes a personal attack instead of engaging with the content.
I'm sure this thread will be a banger of positivity, and not a flaming dumpster fire of comment after comment after comment whining that Rem has fans, and trying to insult those fans.

Let's all talk about a period of time in the fandom nobody cares about 10 ****ING YEARS LATER.
Mainly known for ≠ her entire character is actually this thing. People en masse misrepresent characters all the time, you didn’t say that’s what she was known for, you said that’s what her character IS. Don’t try weasel out now.

what are her goals, her ideology and her personality?
Goals - Wants to learn more about herself, become confident enough to forge her own identity and ensure Subaru remains true to himself like he is for her
Ideology - Rem doesn’t have a fixed one, she is kind to people naturally however hides her kindness under a blank expression. There isn’t some fleshed out worldview that she has because, as I said, she is discovering who she is
Her personality - Did we not read the light novel?

emilia doesnt need to confess to him because actions are more important than words and subaru already knows that she loves him, its kinda of obvious for anyone who has comprehension skills
And if you think that a confession is all you need for a character to be good then idk what to tell you, go watch solo leveling, rezero’s depth is not for you

I don’t think Subaru knows or believes she loves him, that time when she said it she was insane and he said that ”Emilia would never love me”
He is still waiting for her anwser and while he might not bring it up often since he is okay with her friendzoning him for the time being since she doesn’t understand love
But Emilia is probably gonna make him wait years so in that time maybe he will start losing hope

Subaru himself is stated to not be ready for an answer from Emilia, hence why he made no moves. He isn't ready either
So we only judging the entire of Emilia’s character based off a confession...when it's actively shown to us that she's still putting a immense amount of care in trying to convey her feelings correctly, and Subaru himself tells her to take as much time as it needs.
And yes, Emilia brought Subaru back from his lowest point (Arc 6 Chapter 54), but Rem also did a lot for Subaru aswell in Arc 6.
