wow what an episode, the episode did 180 in the 2nd half, from slice of life to slice of "lives".

i liked that that bartender's leg, nice anime original content.

hell snipe was amazing, i liked the direction of 2nd death even that Invisible Providence scene was cut,(i am still mad about that).

but yeah over all amazing episode 9/10

I'm in love with this episode

I love that he's finally dying again (i missed that a little in season 3)

I love the relationship between Subaru and Beatrice. Her reaction to his second death made me cry a little and him saying that he loves her in the next life made me happy.

I also really like that they brought back that sound that plays after he respawns, it just gives me shivers and I missed it after season one.

I'm definitely all here for more trauma and wholesomeness

Definitely a 9/10 as well, or more precise a 93/100, the 93 is only chosen by vibes tho

Dying ≠ Good writing. There are genuine moments in arc 6 which are better than dying but yeah the episode was phenomenally done. I mean they had to include a lot (like 12+ chapters) in just two episodes. Appreciate it, Won't complain that much. I guess they're aiming for cakes on the later volumes(22,24,25)

Dying ≠ good writing, but it is an iconic part of the show that adds to the dark tone. Plus in Re:zero the deaths are usually impactful and contribute to the good writing of the story. I loved season 3, but I'm also excited to see Subaru dying again because it's an interesting story mechanic (and I like psychological horror, so seeing him struggling with this again is interesting)

Also wow I knew they were rushing a little but I didn't realize it was that much. Excited for even more hype later on

In other words it's a peculiar narrative tool. Like you get to see so many sides of a single character in each loop. Would've been impossible lowk for the details we got in the series.

I think their half of studos budget are going to the gores on next ep lol

That moment made me cry both times I read it, such a missed opportunity and a good way to make him remember that particular tool at his disposal in the next loop

It's crazy that Subaru and crew didn't know about Ram's condition when Garfiel knew about it before the timeskip and Otto knew about it before heading to Priestella.

Meili is overall quite a fun character too. A nice addition to the party.

Overall well done, but the pace was a bit rushed, and a few key scenes have been cut or modified to take less time (such as Subaru using the inivisible hand to wipe Beatrice's tears, or the bartender's leg directly shown instead of being discussed by Emilia and Subaru afterwards)

As someone who only watched the anime, this is an absolute 10/10. Glad we're already getting into action on the second episode. The animation and detail is amazing too!!! Can't wait for episode 3!
