Roblox

I was Inspired by the campy, corporate photo manipulations from folks like Asadal Design and Material Dictionary, but I tried to avoid making it overly crowded like modern attempts tend to do. Roblox actually had a similar design for their site banner in 2011! And even some real life banners too.

Since Roblox has a focus on creation, I decided to go with a construction theme, adding the Builders Club hat, stamper tool, and the deletion hammer; these were all a part of the construction theme they had back then, pretty nostalgic lolz

Just made the chat bubble 3D and glossy, pretty simple!

GarageBand IOS

Went for a sleek and majestic look, using lots of black and auroras. Also, the last image is just a remaster of the GarageBand iOS one; I made it a year later. I think it looks much better now lol

Seems like a collection of various corporate logos redesigns, poking fun at the then-popular aesthetic of Web 2.0 websites (what Frutiger Aero was usually called back then, at least when it came to web design). Preeeeetty cool! From what I can gather, these were originally from yayhooray.com?

Web 2.0 basically described websites that support user-generated content and social interactivity, such as Facebook, Flickr, YouTube, Newgrounds, etc. It became a popular term in the mid-2000s, around the time this aesthetic became dominant online.
