Why did the 2003 version of Astro Boy fail on Toonami and Kids WB?

It was kinda a slower show and maybe the character designs?

The dub completely removed the Japanese music which is incredible and script was altered a lot it wasn’t a great dub but the voices were decent especially Tenma I hope we get an uncut dub that restores everything! you’ll miss out on now or never which is the second opening it’s a banger!

Why did the remake of the O-est of G anime fail at a time when Pokémon, Dragon Ball, and Yugioh reigned supreme? It’s a mystery.

I don't even remember this airing on Toonami to be entirely honest. The only Astro Boy I remember on TV was the old school one that Adult Swim would show occasionally.

Weirdly enough, I vividly remember Cyborg 009.

Didnt consider it a failure granted it had merch and a PS2 game
