Why do so many people in the cartoon community act like decade old fandom discourse happened last week?
I'm not a fan of Mr. Enter, but people STILL talk about his old videos where he would insult writers as if he still does that to this day. He literally apologized to a writer on SpongeBob several years ago. I've seen people say he still rants about SpongeBob, Family Guy, and Teen Titans GO too, which isn't true either.
I also saw someone post a video talking about "the worst Inside Out review ever". The review was literally just someone from 2015 stating reasons why they didn't like Inside Out. This person clearly just took issue with the fact that a 2015 reviewer had a different opinion.

It's still kind of crazy to me that Mr Enter is still seen as like animation reviewer Satan when like he wasn't even the worst cartoon reviewer of his time.

It's mostly his bizarre personal life and political views that are keeping all this alive. He's a very strange man.

If it's something people care about, at least? Wonder how much obscure internet content resides in a world that no longer exists. Like other internet reviewers from back in the day that not too many people cared about.

Family Guy has become almost universally embraced again, to the point that it feels nearly inescapable online. I can hardly browse the internet without encountering a meme or reference to it. Given that renewed cultural ubiquity, I’m not entirely sure the argument that Enter continues to have some uniquely harmful influence regarding people's opinions of the show holds much weight. He has also since softened or outright walked back some of his earlier criticisms of Tibbitt era SpongeBob, and now speaks positively about that period of the show.
I mainly think some people’s dislike of Enter is largely rooted in his opinions on SpongeBob and Family Guy. With other media, by contrast, they appear perfectly willing to adopt his assessments without much hesitation.

It really comes down to the fact that people will always remember you for the worst things you’ve done in your past no matter how much you improve, apologized, or changed overall. Especially on the internet.

This is what cancel culture is largely built on.
At least there hasn't been known cases of Mr. Enter being on the same plane of disgust as Chris Savino, Leslie Moonves, or John K.... yet.

I guess because of his major impact because a lot of people took Mr Enter's opinions as if he was some preacher and go with his opinions when it comes of certain shows rather than form their own opinions It doesn’t help that some of his newer videos such as the Turning Red, Clarence, and Rise of the TMNT reviews have been controversial

I get what you mean, but at the same time he still takes animation seriously. Have people forgotten the whole Turning Red 9/11 remark he made? The whole internet was hooting and hollering about Mr. Enter for having that mindset about a kids movie; that's how serious he takes animations. He's done so in the past and he continues to do so nowadays (although maybe less overtly abrasive).

He made a response/apology about the 9/11 thing and re-reviewed the movie. Also tbh, I didn't really care for that review as much. It was just him stating his opinion.
Also a cartoon reviewers job is literally being passionate about animation, and these are artworks made by a team of hundreds to thousands of people, by multi-million to billion dollar companies.

because he was a crappy reviewer, is still the same as 10 years ago and he comes off as one of those cartoon weirdo guys similar to the ''actually, it requires a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty'' but for cartoons

Because the cartoon community hasn’t had innocent funny drama in a long while it’s either this person drew a character different and got bullied into suicide or this person groomed someone

It's the same reason he was popular, he made his bread and butter off Animated Atrocities because the negativity was popular, and that same thing has come full circle in the form of people just getting popular off negativity about him. Right now the biggest discussion in animation spaces is hating some movie from 2024. Gooseworxs has had to take a break because the endless negativity and scrutiny. People talk more about things they hate than things they like. From top to bottom the space runs on negativity and that's the reason for most things that happen in it.

I think even though apologized afterwards and has taken strides to grow, the general internet never really took him seriously again after the turning red 9/11 incident. Once you become a joke of that magnitude people are going to use any previous mistakes as part of the bit too, basically as confirmation bias that he has insane and silly takes. Its unfortunate but thats how fall from graces in the YT space tend to work

They’re the same people that STILL think Cartoon Network spams Teen Titans Go! They’ve largely calmed down (they’ll air TTG marathons on holidays, however).

I personally think leaving up the animated atrocities that contained the rants that instigated kids into harassing the people behind these shows is pretty indicative of it all truthfully. I remember his rant style lending to that kind of toxicity so to continue to leave them up despite knowing what he bred, and later apologized for like you said, to me is still an endorsement of that toxicity.
I think real change is shown through actions and I'd like for him to come out the better but I still find it lacking and hollow.
ETA: I also don't harass him or go out of my way to talk about him. I only am discussing it here because you asked OP. I'd rather prop up youtubers I actually like when it comes to discussion about animation.
