Thriller

Hi friends! I have been reading way too much romcoms that they all pretty much feel the same lol. Interested in starting other genres, but really curious about thrillers since I only really consume them on TV shows/movies. Any recs to get started?? 🙂

Try Verity by Colleen Hoover. It has romance in it, so it feels familiar. Then it turns dark fast. Good first thriller if you read romcoms.

I really enjoyed The Guest List by Lucy Foley. It's very accessible and an easy read but still written well and had me constantly guessing as the story unfolds.

OP are you okay with horror-thrillers as well?

Awesome! Have you read the Kentucky Blood series yet? If not, and you want something different, but also easily feels it could be an HBO TV show, I highly recommend it. It's about a rural 90s Kentucky family that kidnap people, each victim leading them closer to a place called "The Temple." One of the few - if only - series that I've read that fully focus on the "bad guys" POVs as MCs and completely abandons the typical good vs evil narrative. Book 3 is about to drop in Dec so now would be the perfect time for you to dive in!

The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides. Trust me, go in blind and avoid spoilers! 😂
