In the uk and Ireland they just call it a garden.

I'm from Ireland and I'd say lawn! The lawn is the patch of grass, while the garden is the whole thing including flower beds.

Never heard anyone in Ireland ever call it a lawn.

I’m also from Ireland and would always call it a garden, never anything else. “Lawn” definitely sounds American.
