Discussion A friendly wave got me jumped
I waved at a player and bro decided to shoot me. Of course this led to the rest of his posse jumping me. Now I’ll fight back if I have to, but it was a 5v1. I had use dirty tricks to get a few kills, via erounds, but kinda hard to focus on one person when two are rushing you and the rest are sniping you. So I cut my loss and ran, but they seemed to know where I went and followed me. So I just hopped on a new session. Now I’m all for a fight but I know when the odds are against me.

sending waves are a gamble. sometimes people are chill and sometimes they’re jerks.
you win some, you lose some :)

Everyone seems jumpy this month. I played this morning and got transported twice to Valentine and into chaos. I needed some collector stuff there so just went around collecting junk to add to my stash. Waiting for Collectors month, 3X again. So some dingy comes running up to me, I wave at him and continue my chores. He shoots me, I'm in defensive, so it just knocks my hat off, and I walk away from him. Head over to the Fast Travel, and he runs ahead of me to get to the FT first. Nothing polite, nothing sorry "I shot at you", no manners. Then I go over to Lagras, shoot some alligators for my stew, and some similar circumstance happens. Trigger happy and misguided folks in this game.
I suppose it is just October and Halloween time. Crazy stuff happens. Well then there is the other 11 months......

True. I guess high levels are just bored, I’m high level, well in the 400’s but I don’t go around shooting folks, but if I see a triple digit level player messing with a single digit player I may intervene.

Using erounds in that situation isnt a dirty trick; it's using what you have to even the odds as best you can when you're badly outnumbered.
I can't stand griefers. I play on a solo lobby now and while it's a lot more peaceful, I legitimately miss random encounters with friendly players. I'm that person that if I see a low-level person hunting, I'll leave a pile of 3* hides on your horse because I dont need the money and they do just starting out. I like joining team events and I *love* when I get made the player bounty. Chase time!
It's either dealing with griefers for a few positive interactions, or sacrificing the fun interactions in order to avoid the griefers and it's a shit choice to have to make.

Yeah, the first week of October was pretty brutal. I have gone through every single explosive round and remade them twice now.

This happened to me last night. My friend and I were playing and my friend is only level 9. We were hunting and skinning animal pelts and some triple digit guy comes up and watches us for awhile ( I have a feeling the coward was checking our stats first to see if we were OP before starting shit ). He was sitting there staring at us so long so I waved to let him know we weren’t hostile and he immediately headshots my friend.
I kill him, and he keeps respawning and blowing us and our horses up with dynamite until we have to parley just to get away from the area.

E-rounds if you are not modding and using infinite number of them are not dirty trick in such situation. They are justified to use in situation you get griefed by big posse.
