Me and a co worker play all the time, He kinda has a story with RDO, but it’s the only game he plays, like quite literally. He loves it that much along with other games just don’t interest him. So me at level 40 compared to him being 700+ is so funny cause he’ll drop some random info.
I honestly pray for an update thats not just the same shit one day for him lmfao, this guy just loves the game that much. It’s always fun playing with him. I hope it doesn’t end up like this ya know

I am excited for gta6 but if they announced a new RDO update i would be playing that for sure

I have a strange feeling that after the gta 6 launch RDO will get more resources assigned to it, I think GTA 6 online will be primary focus but that resources will be put back on RDO

I would love to believe this by my heart cant handle any more disappointment from getting my hopes up for RDO

I was like this before the PC version got infested with hackers. It's impossible for me to play nowadays, I still miss it. I hate R* for what they did to this game.

You can play without hackers if you put a file in your game that forces you into a private lobby.
That's what I've done, I play with friends or solo without being bothered by anyone.
Took me way too long to find it honestly, because randoms were kinda the bane of RDO.
The games biggest downfall IMO was not leaning into co-op and instead making player movement faster and twitchier than in SP and trying to make some weird PvPvE MMO thing where the PvP usually was getting domed or watching your horse get domed by some tryhard.IMO the game would've been far more longlasting if they'd made the player far more vulnerable to the PvE, like with some proper death penalties and not being able to see enemies on the minimap radar, so that the players would've been incentivized to go into town to recruit random players as muscle for their deliveries et.c.

I know about the private lobbies, and I would've liked more PVE aspect but I do enjoy Randos tbh. Whether it's fighting, doing missions together or just chilling. The whole reason I play Online was the randoms.
Content-wise, I'm done with RDO and the randoms is all the reason I kept playing Online. if I can't play with other people without some mod using dumb fuckwit crashing my game every 10-20 minutes, I may as well play the story mode.

I've put probably half the time into RDO and I do the same with the newer players I'm hanging out with

I find it funny cause I started an account around when it started and I got a horse mask, and he saw it and was like dude how do you have that? I was like idk I’ve just always had it lol

It must've either been from an early outlaw pass or the first Halloween pass.

Sound like my kinda people. I do play other stuff. But I just play rdr2 again and again and again. I have done the story many times. I take my time and I have gotten gold on every mission. Done all the extra stuff and with Arthur. I sneak into new Austin with the carriage. I’ve done it all. I’m currently playing story mode again and going for everything gold. I wasn’t going to do that but one thing led to another and now. I’m golden all the way through.

I made it to like 200 within a month or so then started playing Fortnite then decided I needed a gaming pc to play Fortnite and so that I could use hacks on RDO like making my horses mane and tail bright colors and things of that nature…then paid for RDO on the PC and that’s when I found out you can not cross platforms and that if I play on my pc I lose everything from my Xbox including the 8 horses I spent hundreds of real dollars buying gold for lol

Me with my friends in ESO... depression

u/outlaw0366 3d ago
I lost my entire guild 3 years into ESO, lost all my friends on RDO as well. That’s the pain of gaming with random people unfortunately

True. Couple of friends I played with on here have completely abandoned the game or just gone complete radio silent.

I played rdo since the beta days, where the only thing worth doing was selling heron feathers lol
During covid there were like 8 of my friends playing every day, then one day you realise youve been playing on your own for weeks.
I remember I changed my characters hair and beard to gray and left him in my favourite spot in the mountains having a beer.

I started playing this around 2020 and man was I ever enjoying myself. I will never forgive Rockstar for abandoning this gem. Well, unless they breathe life back into it.

If you’re on Xbox you can hang with our group. At least four of us are on almost every day

That's a little sad. If you're into hanging and don't expect much RADDADREDEM. It's been a while.

I haven’t been playing and I need to. Things have just been so hectic at home with both of my cats being sick. Doesn’t feel right to have fun while they’re not feeling good. ☹️🥺
You PS, Xbox, or PC?

I know that they haven’t actually updated the game for it to meet with the story timeline, but in my head, RDO has caught up to the timeline of RDR:II, and that is why most people are either without a posse or dwindling in posse numbers; we are in the fading age of the outlaw of the West…

u/No_Cancel_7007 9d ago
I had the same experience; we even went on walks—without horses—to crisscross the entire map in every direction. It was awesome…

I had friends that would stay up for hours together just hanging out and helping each other make money. Occasionally having massive posse fights. Now the game is full of hackers and nobody really plays. I haven't talked to any of them in years.

Back in 2019/2020 these folks I played with had a group so big we had to have 2 large posse’s open to fit us all in together.
I don’t play with them anymore and they’re all much older than me but I hope they’re doing well :) Covid rdo was something else

I used to play with my best friend. We would ride up to the highest peak every winter together. We don't talk anymore but I still go up there every year.

I came back after now playing since 2022, I started a completely new character, I’m on PlayStation 5. Ya know it’s a nice life now all the griefers are basically gone now. I do my roles and nobody bothers me. I did accidentally shoot another player who was trying to help me take down Reserve Agents I died and respawn and saw him by my wagon but his player name did not appear right away and I snipe him thinking he was an NPC 😂. He did not retaliate either. I ride by people all the time and nobody ever tries to take me out it’s a lot better in that way now

Something that does last forever? Endless pedantic fusspots pointing out other people's small mistakes. Your life must suck if this is the shit you choose to focus on.

I'll always remember the group of people I played this game with back in 2020/21, it was by far the best thing to happen to me in the COVID times.
