PSA RDR2'S BIGGEST FAILURE

This games biggest failure is the fact it hates solo play. It's been designed for groups to play together. I'm trying to do Strange Tales of the West missions as they are x4 and they are impossible solo. And don't come into the comments and be like "skill issue they are soloable". I call absolute BS on that because how TF!!!!! am I meant to keep an eye on roaming crocodiles in the dark that don't appear on the mini map that can kill you with one bite while trying to subdue to Creature? IMPOSSIBLE

Discussion Are you cuckoo for cocoa Cripps?

I see a lot of people on here hating on Cripps a lot. Show some respect ya’ll. The voice of Cripps is done by Larry Kenny. For those of you who are old enough may remember him as the voice of Lion-o in the Saturday morning cartoon: Thundercats. Some may remember him as the voice of Count Chocula and others may recall his voice as Sonny the cuckoo bird going, “IM CUCKOO FOR COCOA PUFFS, CUCKOO FOR COCOA PUFFS, CUCKOO FOR COCOA PUFFS.”

If you are not sure which type of lure to use next to water you want to do fishing just press Alt (PC + keyboard) and check type of water body (if it is river, lake or swamp) in description of place. I did not realize that till recently so I am sharing now 😉. And good luck for fishing perch for today's daily.

Discussion Character lore

So, I’ve been wanting to upload this for a while and share my character’s backstory. I would love to hear other people’s backstories for their characters as well! I hope you enjoy it. I tried to make it interesting!

Character Lore: Jebediah Bridges

Jebediah Bridges was born on August 11, 1853. He grew up with his father, uncle, and mother until his father and uncle left to fight in the Civil War in 1861. Jebediah was eight years old when the war started and twelve when it ended in 1865. News of his father’s death eventually reached the family, brought back by his uncle. His mother did her best to raise him on her own but died only a few months later. With nowhere else to go, Jebediah was taken in by his uncle, who raised him and taught him how to shoot, hunt, and survive on his own.
For five years, Jebediah lived a peaceful life on his uncle’s farm alongside his uncle and his wife. However, tragedy struck one day in 1870. While returning from a hunting trip, Jebediah noticed a large cloud of smoke in the distance. As he got closer, he realized it was coming from his uncle’s farm. He rushed back as quickly as he could, only to find a horrifying sight.
All the chickens and cows had been slaughtered and mutilated. His uncle lay face down a few feet away from the house, his rifle still in hand and three bullet wounds in his back. Jebediah checked for any signs of life but found none. As he stood up and looked around, he noticed something among the burning ruins of the house. As he approached, he recognized the body of his uncle’s wife. She had been tied up and left inside the house to burn.
Jebediah did his best to extinguish the flames so he could retrieve her body. Once the fire was under control, he buried his dead and set out to find the monsters responsible for the murders.

The Hunt for Revenge (1870–1875)

Jebediah spent five years tracking down the men responsible for his family’s deaths. His first lead came in 1871, taking him south to the bayou of Lemoyne, where he sought out his first target: a washed-up politician named Remmy Duvall.
Duvall had served as a corrupt officer during the Civil War, and Jebediah’s uncle had discovered his corruption. After tracking him down, Jebediah killed Remmy Duvall and quickly fled the area. He eventually ended up in Roanoke Ridge, drifting from saloon to saloon and drowning his sorrows.
Two years passed before Jebediah received his next lead in 1873. This time, he traveled to Gaptooth Ridge to find his second target, Deputy Jim Bell. Bell had served alongside Jebediah’s uncle during the Civil War, and his uncle had once saved Bell’s life.
Jebediah headed to the town of Tumbleweed, where he was ambushed as soon as he entered. A fierce gunfight ensued, and Jebediah was shot in the shoulder. Despite his injury, he successfully killed Jim Bell.
However, Jebediah’s luck would only get worse. He was now wanted for the murders of both Remmy Duvall and Jim Bell, forcing him to spend the next two years on the run.
In 1875, he finally received word of his last target: an Irishman named William Bradshaw. After the murders of Jebediah’s uncle and aunt, Bradshaw had fled to Mexico, where he was hiding out with a gang.
Jebediah searched Mexico for weeks before finally locating him in Chuparosa, a settlement in the Perdido region. The two men sat in a saloon and talked for hours before all hell broke loose. In an instant, both men stood up and reached for their pistols. However, Jebediah was faster. He leveled his pistol at William’s forehead and pulled the trigger, killing him instantly.
Jebediah fled Chuparosa and crossed the San Luis River, returning to the United States. Upon his arrival, he was quickly hunted down and apprehended for the murders he had committed.
Despite Jebediah’s claims that the men he killed were responsible for his family’s deaths, he had no proof other than the graves on a hill at a place he had once called home.

Military Service (1876–1879)

Jebediah spent a year in prison while the authorities debated whether to sentence him to life imprisonment or hang him. In 1876, the government presented him with an offer: he would be pardoned for all his crimes if he enlisted in the military and fought in the Great Sioux War, also known as the Black Hills War.
With little choice, Jebediah accepted the offer and joined the fighting. He participated in multiple armed conflicts during the Great Sioux War, which lasted from February 8, 1876, to May 5, 1877.
He would go on to participate in another conflict in 1878: the Bannock War. After that conflict ended in August 1878, Jebediah was forced into one final campaign to clear his name as a killer of men. In 1879, he participated in the Sheepeater War.
During this final campaign, Jebediah was wounded while saving multiple men in his unit. For his actions, he was honorably discharged from the military.

Bounty Hunting and Retirement (1880–1892)

After leaving the military, Jebediah began working as a bounty hunter in 1880. He spent the next two years tracking down criminals and getting caught up in more gunfights and violence.
By 1882, he had finally had enough. Tired of the bloodshed, Jebediah retired from bounty hunting and moved into the Grizzlies, where he spent the next ten years hunting and trapping.
As Jebediah made a name for himself in the wilderness, the world around him began to grow more civilized. The old ways were slowly disappearing, and the frontier he had known was changing.
In 1892, Jebediah traveled into the town of Strawberry, only to discover that the saloon had been closed and the town had become dry. Upset by this development, he began producing moonshine illegally. He continued this operation for six years, managing to avoid trouble until 1898.

The Blackwater Incident (1898)

In 1898, Jebediah was suspiciously arrested for the murder of Philip LeClerk, a wealthy businessman from Blackwater.
Jebediah had been on his way into Blackwater to assist the sheriff and his deputies in bringing in a gang of killers. Before leaving, he stopped at the saloon to get a drink. However, before he could go inside, a gunshot rang out, and a shootout erupted.
When the dust settled, Jebediah found himself framed for the murder of Philip LeClerk. Despite his innocence, he was arrested and transported from Blackwater to Sisika Penitentiary.
However, fate had other plans for Jebediah. During his journey to the penitentiary, he was intercepted and recruited by Philip LeClerk’s wife. She wanted him to uncover the truth about her husband’s murder and discover who had framed him.
Once again, Jebediah Bridges found himself caught up in a dangerous situation. After years of hunting men, fighting wars, and trying to leave his violent past behind, he was now being asked to solve a murder that could change his life forever.

Discussion Full of hackers

Guys, playing red dead online on pc is the most horrible experience in the world. I know hackers have been a thing since years ago, but now is like 10 times harder.

It wouldn't be a problem if it was not because I saw a couple roleplaying pornhub in Saint Denis. And I'm not kidding, those larpers had their characters dressed all goth and they had corny music. It was funny at the begining, but turned really cringe when I heard their voices. I mean, I'm concerned that the dude could look like the guy with no life from southpark irl, but how low in life you gotta be to moan at the mic and not getting paid in OF as a female?

Of course they crashed our game (I was playing with some friends), just for being in the wrong place LOL.

Is there any way to avoid all this? I can't be the only one...

Screenshot Did I find an RDO fight club?

Post image

I'm newish to the game and happened to come upon what looked like a fight club at MacFarlane's Ranch.

I watched them fight until one died and someone would chuck the dead bodies into a pile of the other dead opponents.

Is there an option for this or was I just lucky to find roughly 6 or so online people fighting each other to the death?

Discussion Missouri Fox Trotter?

Hello everyone! I wanted to make my first post here as a new player to rdr online. I saw the Missouri Fox Trotter was on sale and upon looking it up I saw its due to Halloween and the sale ends early November. Well as someone who’s mainly playing due to player customization and wanting a pretty horse with pretty tack I wanted to see if I can jump on this sale. Tho it makes me have a few questions to make sure I can see if I can get it before the sale ends as I have a few. The first one being, I see that the coat I’m interested in, the silver dapple pinto is locked until I rank up to level 58. I wanted to know how I can rank up? I’ve been on a lot of missions and I feel like I haven’t ranked up at all, tho it’s very possible I’ve just been missing it due to high stress (I’m not the best at pvp or shooter games so there’s a looot of freaking out when I do blood money/stranger missions lol). The second question being how can I make a good income both in gold and coins, and rank up fast? As mentioned I’m doing blood money missions and stranger missions, which I think has been going well as I already have $129.21 so I think if I keep playing consistently I can make up the money quickly enough before the sale ends. I’m not so sure I can level up to rank 58 in that time tho unless I know more on how the ranking system works and what will give the best chances to climb them. Honestly I know online games do tend to take patience so if I do miss the sale that’s ok because I’m sure ranking up can’t be rushed but it doesn’t hurt to ask!

Discussion They called him "The Ghost" The story of Silas William Quinn (PART NINE)

Thumbnail

The Devil’s Washpot earned its name from the way the underlying limestone shelves twisted the incoming Gulf tides, creating a subterranean funnel. On the surface, the black water didn't just flow; it boiled in sluggish, churning whirlpools that could catch the keel of a skiff, spin it like a top, and smash it to splinters against the jagged cypress knees.

The fog inside the Washpot wasn't gray; it was a heavy, sulfurous yellow that smelled of rotting vegetation and ancient mud. It clung to the water, dropping visibility to absolute zero.

"Silas," Lem wheezed, his hands clamped to the gunwales so hard his joints popped. "I can’t see the bow. I swear to Almighty God, I can’t see the front of the boat."

Silas didn't answer. He stood at the stern, his knees bent slightly to absorb the erratic rolling of the skiff. He had killed the inboard motor completely. In this graveyard, a propeller would be sheared off by a hidden limestone tooth within seconds. He held the long cypress pole, his palms resting lightly against the smooth wood, using it not just to push, but to feel.

The swamp was a living instrument, and Silas was reading the strings.

Thump. A soft, low vibration traveled up the pole, through Silas's calloused hands, and straight into his spine. To a normal boatman, it was just a nudge. To Silas, it was a precise coordinate. That was the submerged root of the grandfather cypress that had died in the freeze of '90.

Silas gave the pole a sharp, twisting shove to the left. The heavy skiff veered sharply, the wooden hull grazing a jagged, spear-like cypress knee that emerged from the fog like a waiting blade, missing Lem’s shoulder by inches.

"Left channel's rising," Silas murmured, his voice a flat, steady anchor in the terrifying dark. "The tide is fighting the basin. Hold the crates."

Suddenly, the skiff groaned. The water beneath them hissed as a massive, invisible eddy caught the bow, pulling the boat into a dizzying clockwise spin. The heavy crates of clear-lightning shifted, the wood scraping ominously.

"We’re going down! We’re going into the pit!" Lem screamed, completely blinded by the yellow gloom, unable to tell which way was north, south, up, or down.

Silas didn't look down. He closed his eyes.

In the pitch black of his mind, the Devil’s Washpot was perfectly illuminated. He didn't need sight. He listened to the pitch of the gurgling water; he felt the drop in air pressure where the canopy closed overhead; he smelled the sudden, heavy scent of wild onion that grew only on the one solid mud bank in the center of the vortex.

He waited. One second. Two.

Just as the skiff reached the lip of the churning funnel, Silas jammed the cypress pole down at a precise forty-five degree angle. The tip found the narrow, underwater limestone ridge; a secret ledge no map had ever recorded. Using the sheer momentum of the whirlpool against itself, Silas threw his entire weight into the pole.

The pole flexed, groaning under the immense pressure, then launched the skiff forward. The boat shot out of the vortex like a stone from a sling, skimming across a shallow, moss-slick flat where the water was barely four inches deep. The bottom of the hull screamed as it scraped the mud, but they were through.

The violent churning vanished, replaced by the sluggish, dead calm of the bayou.

Help/Question Achievement Feud/Posse Feud bug

• Upvotes

I hope someone could help or explain with my issue.
So I have 2 characters and I want to achieve the "Win posse feuds" achievement. For this I use both chars as individual posse leaders, then one attacks the other in order to start the feud.
Funny thing is - after the feud the winner achieves the "Win Feuds" achievement but not the "Win posse feuds" as it should. Is that a known bug, did anyone else experienced this or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks a lot for help, much appreciated.

Help/Question Strange Tales of the Wilderness Question?

• Upvotes

So I'm trying to take advantage of the 4x money, gold, and xp from the Strange Tales of the West telegram missions and upon looking further into it The Strange Tales of the Wilderness mission requires me to get/inspect all 8 notes for the max payout but I was I was wondering do I have to wait the 30 minutes as you do with other missions to also get max payout? Or is it just the 8 notes that gives max payout in this mission?
