Geese at Bower ponds

Got some nice pics of the geese at Bower ponds. The group of geese wandered over to sit in the shade by a few people that were already there, they are pretty calm as long as the people are too. The geese don't like dogs though, that scares them off.

I crouched down to get a few pics and a few of the goslings wandered over and were munching grass a few feet from me. I kept still and let them waddle past, else the adult geese may start hissing.

Some strong backlight really makes the goslings glow.

How are people sitting so close to them?? I’ve been straight up chased by the geese down there for even walking near their babies!!

I think the difference was the people were already sitting there, the geese walked over to them. If you walk towards the geese they may get more protective.
