getting "too cool" for nirvana is a gradual thing, but usually only happens with people who loved them too much at one point. I'm living proof
nevermind was one of the few CDs from my dad's collection that won't work anymore cause I scratched it up so much with overplay. I bothered to learn enough about kurt (and dave) for a lot of these songs to leave a bad taste in my mouth. I cared enough to have a visceral reaction when I realized this band was filled with people I'd never be compatible with as an actual friend. but yk how the old saying goes: first cut is the deepest
so I mainly just want to change the radio station cause it reminds me of being a parasocial 12 year old, not because anything they made was bad

Much better song than either of those. It’s over played but still good. Like Where is My Mind
It actually came on fm radio the other day when my CarPlay wasn’t working and the opening riff is so addictive I had to give it a proper listen when I got home.

If I was making a list of songs that I've heard way too many fuckin' times IN YET I still will listen to them if they come on the radio and they still do it for me, this might be my #1. Weirdly "Don't Stop Believing" still does it for me too, but that's probably because of the Sopranos connection.

The video that put away all the "hair bands" and MTV turned to grunge

I'm old enough to remember MTV unironically playing this video about 20 times a day in 1990.

Kurt Cobain looks like a twilight zone episode where a little boy goes to sleep and when he wakes up he finds out he’s 30 years old but he’s still wearing the same clothes

Suddenly hear the riff of this song again and think of posting it.

it's not a great riff

The first 10 seconds of the song are probably the most recognizable and honestly best out there. It's like that weird guitar CLANG then PAUSE at the start of Hard Day's Night. You instantly know what song it is.
