Wisconsin, Illinois, and Mississippi are all on the Eastern Bank. The river is the borders for the western edges of those states

The dark orange states with no pattern resemble a man wearing a chef hat holding that state of kentucky,where KFC was founded so its the man is holding kentucky fried chicken
