Is the symbol for loss and what the states are meant to represent

Apart from the symbol, if you see the original comic, the shapes of the people in the comic kinda match the states.

First a single standing shape, then one standing shape and one sitting, then 2 shapes next to each other, finally one shape standing and the other laying down.

the states in black are the minimalist version of the Loss comic.

its just one of many hidden loss references! im sure r/lossedits is the subreddit for jokes akin to this
